True Grit's box office made an impressive $252 million worldwide but is nowhere near the monolithic $2.8 billion of Avengers: Endgame.

What's even more surprising is that True Grit has a higher score on Rotten Tomatoes than No Country for Old Men (2007), which some consider to be the greatest contemporary western movie ever made.
