Palworld Reveals Two Powerful New Pals Ahead Of Next Update

Summary Palworld has teased a new update introducing variations of existing Pals like Wixen Noct & Katress Ignis.

Developers are set to reveal more during Summer Game Fest, potentially with some game-changing updates.

The possible introduction of Dark and Fire variants for all Pals would also improve in-game experience.

A new Palworld update is on the way and with it new Pal variants have been revealed. Palworld took the world by storm, releasing in early 2024 and quickly topping the charts for the most players and copies sold. The game launched with a few known issues, but the developers quickly worked to address them and update the game with new and exciting features to keep players interested. There have been a few updates over the last few months, but this is the first time more than one new Pal has been introduced in an update, or in general, since the game released.

In a recent post from developers on the official Palworld X account (formerly Twitter), they shared that a few exciting things will be announced during their Summer Game Fest participation. Not only will there be a new update, but two new Pals were introduced.

The image shows variations of the existing Pals Wixen and Katress, which may lean toward having even more variations being introduced with this new update. It appears that devs are introducing a Noct version of Wixen and an Ignis version of Katress. These Pals are arguably more powerful that their base versions, making them valuable allies.

There Could Be More Pal Variants On The Way

Noct Pals are Dark variants of their original versions, and some Pals already have these variations. Noct variants typically have blue and purple elements, which are seen in this image, and have stronger attacks and more volatile attitudes toward the player. The Ignis variants are the Fire variants, focusing more on orange and red tones for their design, and having powerful fire attacks that they can perform. Both of these variants are significantly stronger, making them the best choice to bring into a boss battle in Palworld.

This announcement could mean that developers are working on creating different variants of all the Pals, and might even be working toward adding new variants into the mix. The post mentioned that there are exciting updates that Palworld players don't want to miss, because they plan on announcing long-awaited updates during the event. The updates have been frequent, proving that Pocket Pair is listening to their fans and ensuring the best player experience, so these updates could be game changing for many. Like the quality of life update focusing on bases, each update has been pertinent to improving the in-game experience.

Palworld players are likely to have a lot to look forward to during Summer Game Fest, especially if their post alludes to adding multiple new variants of Pals to the list. Of course, there are still improvements that can be made in order to make Palworld even better, but considering the game is still in Early Access, they are ahead of the game in some ways. The full release is still rumored to release in 2025 and by then the game should be fully fleshed out with all the bugs and issues hopefully worked out.
