The Solo Leveling anime adaptation has featured many new additions to the series that were fairly well received and added to the plot. It introduced the mysterious Jeju Island in episode #1, gave more focus to the S-Class Hunter Cha Hae-In, and made the fights even more epic. Season 1's main focus was on Jinwoo's exponential growth, and now that he has been properly fleshed out and developed, there is room for the other characters to be in the limelight.
One of the manhwa's main criticisms is the lack of focus on the awesome side characters, and fans have complained about the plain side cast. Although Jinwoo is the main character, ignoring everyone else for him proved to be detrimental to the story. The creators of the anime have taken the feedback of the source material seriously and are elevating the manhwa to greater heights. The creator, Chugong, is a supervisor working on the adaptation, so he was most likely involved in this change as well.
Season 2 Will Be An Upgrade Of The Manhwa
Solo Leveling is produced by A-1 Pictures; Original series created by Chugong
With Jinwoo gaining incredible new powers, the scale of the fights will be even higher, and the incredible animation shown will improve on the manhwa drastically. Furthermore, additional anime original scenes that will make the series and cast better while not deviating from the plotline is great news as the release date announcement for season 2 looms closer.
