ANIMALS WHOSE NAMES ARE TWO ANIMALS BULLDOG CATFISH HORSEFLY TURTLEDOVE

Today's game was filled with these compound words and it took us quite a bit before we figured out what was going on. There were many times we almost hit Submit but pulled back because we just weren't sure. We did still end up wasting an attempt though on an incorrect guess, but sometimes that's just the way it is.

As we were working towards another attempt we started to see the pattern, these were the only words with two animals in them. WEREWOLF, DOGLEG, MOUSETRAP, and FISHBOWL all seemed like they might fit but they had non-animal words mixed in. That's when it clicked and we quickly scored the yellow category.

SHARP TURNS DOGLEG HAIRPIN SWITCHBACK ZAG

After that initial realization, everything else flowed like water, and in the order that the game claims is easy to hard. HAIRPIN and SWITCHBACK were the first two words that stuck out but then we saw ZAG and DOGLEG, a word we haven't heard in a very long time. Either way it was a quick win and we moved on to the final two.

CLASSIC PARTY GAMES CATEGORIES CHARADES FISHBOWL WEREWOLF

We did end up wasting another attempt on this category as we originally tried CATEGORIES, CHARADES, WEREWOLF, and MOUSETRAP. These are all older games, many an hour I spent playing with that crazy contraption Mouse Trap game. But once it was revealed to be wrong we realized that technically the Mouse Trap game is two words and not one. So FISHBOWL went in and a win was imminent.

Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained

The purple category was filled with our leftover words and that is a good thing because we did not at all notice the connection of these random words. But, we didn't have to and a win is a win. On to the next game!
