Below Deck season 11 has been full of ups and downs, and many of the crew members have demonstrated villainous behavior. Without a season of drama, Below Deck wouldn’t be a thriving franchise. The superyacht reality series tapped Captain Kerry Titheradge to lead as the captain of the St. David. Captain Kerry was stern yet compassionate towards his crew, ensuring the safety of everyone on board. There have been a few boatmances during Below Deck season 11 that have stirred up drama, making it an entertaining season.
Bosun Ben Willoughby got together with his lead deckhand, Sunny Marquis, while stew Barbie Pascual hooked up with deckhand Kyle Stillie. Everyone in the crew made mistakes during the season, but some are arguably bigger than others. If there was no substantial drama, Below Deck season 11 would've been a letdown. With the reality series nearing the end of its eleventh season, there’s no denying that some of the crew on Below Deck have acted naughtier than others.

9 Xandi Olivier
Xandi Clashed With The Other Stews
Close
Overall, Xandi Olivier is a great stew. She doesn’t complain when given tasks and has been Chief Stew Fraser Olender's right-hand woman throughout Below Deck season 11. However, she’s had negative moments with the rest of the stew. She clashed with Barbie a few times and was taken aback when Sunny thought Ben was flirting with her. Xandi was unwilling to push that narrative and made sure Sunny knew nothing was going on between her and Ben.
8 Barbie Pascual
Barbie Didn’t Respect Fraser & Cast Kyle To The Side
Close
Barbie has had quite a transformation throughout the season. Early in the season, she started fighting with Fraser. She wasn’t used to having to report to the chief stew, and that showed. Barbie made passive-aggressive comments towards her superior and complained about him with the other crew members. Their feud reached a head during a beach day when Barbie broke down and finally expressed how much she wanted to get along with her chief stew. Luckily, they got through their conflict, but she had villainous moments in her boatmance with Kyle.
Barbie and Kyle’s relationship came out of the blue. Going into Below Deck season 11, the stew swore she wouldn't hook up with anyone. She was worried about disappointing her father with her behavior on the boat. However, she naturally formed a connection with deckhand Kyle. They ended up hooking up, but Barbie denied this because she was worried about how she would be perceived. After speaking with her mom about her feelings, Barbie decided to own her connection with Kyle and started treating him better.
7 Jared Woodin
Jared Wasn’t In The Best Headspace
Close
Jared Woodin was an interesting personality. He came into the season as Captain Kerry’s bosun. Right off the bat, it was clear that his head was somewhere else. Jared explained that he had a daughter living in Alaska whom he had never met. Each week, he had designated times to call his daughter. The phone calls were important to Jared, but because of a poor cell phone connection on St. David, he couldn't talk to his daughter. This seeped into his subconscious, and his performance as a bosun faltered because of it. He also got angry when he drank.
6 Sunny Marquis
Sunny Prioritizes Her Boatmance Over Herself
Close
Sunny has exhibited villainous behavior in Below Deck season 11 in her boatmance with Ben. In their relationship, she’s been vocal about how she doesn’t like how flirtatious the bosun is. When they’ve had conflict, Sunny has said she feels like “there’s always something wrong” in her relationships. They stopped hooking up for a short time, but they fell back into their pattern. When Ben went after Barbie about her relationship with Kyle, Sunny didn’t stand up for her friend. Sunny is somewhat the villain on Below Deck and should choose herself instead of Ben.
5 Nick Tatlock
Chef Nick Was Demeaning Towards The Women
Close
Chef Nick Tatlock came in hot during Below Deck season 11. Coming in midway through the season, most of the crew had already developed close friendships. When Chef Anthony Iracane was fired, everyone was devastated. He had a lot to live up to in terms of crew comradery. Chef Nick doesn't get along well with Fraser or Stew Paris Field. Notably, he had a lot of things to say about Paris. When she added a lot of mayonnaise to a wrap he made for the crew, Chef Nick warned that she would gain weight.
He had no right to comment on Paris’ weight or food preferences, especially when he didn't know her. From then on, they did not get along and had a heated interaction during a beach lunch. Chef Nick also didn’t get along with Fraser. He asked Chef Nick to garnish the guest’s dishes, but he was unwilling to do so. Before the beach lunch, Fraser asked him to cook ahead of time to avoid any disruption. Chef Nick didn’t do this, which led to disorganization and his conflict with Paris.
4 Paris Field
Paris Tried To Act Like She Was The Chief Stew
Close
Joining Below Deck season 11 in place of another stew, Paris got along with the pre-existing crew. Fraser knew Paris as the ex-girlfriend of Jake Foulger, who appeared as a deckhand on Below Deck season 9, so they hit it off right away. When Ben tried to flirt with her, Paris was quick to shut his efforts down. However, after Chef Nick joined the boat, her villainous behavior started. After he commented about her weight, Paris was not keen on Chef Nick. She urged him to garnish the dishes, essentially telling him how to do his job.
3 Dylan Pierre De Villiers
Dylan Tried To Degrade Sunny For Hooking Up With Ben
Close
For the most part, Dylan Pierre De Villiers has been a great deckhand under Ben. His worst moment throughout the entire season was his comments about Sunny. When Ben named her his lead deckhand, Dylan was shocked and upset that he didn’t get the role. Instead of being happy for Sunny, he said she only got the job because she was sleeping with Ben. His comments got back to the bosun, and Ben wasn’t happy about that. He pulled Dylan aside to talk about his allegations and shut them down.
2 Fraser Olender
Fraser Lets His Personal Opinions Cloud His Professional Judgement
Close
As Chief Stew, Fraser exerted his power in odd ways in Below Deck season 11. He and Barbie did not get along during the beginning of the season. She was a firecracker, and Fraser did not appreciate how she would talk back to him and make passive-aggressive comments. They attempted to reconcile but had a heated exchange during one of their days off. Fraser swore he would fire Barbie and was done working with her. He was unwilling to separate his personal feelings about her from his working relationship with the stew.
He went as far as to speak with Captain Kerry about Barbie’s behavior. During their sitdown, Captain Kerry told Fraser that his personal feelings were getting in the way of his job. Fraser admitted that Barbie was a good stew. The conversation shifted his mindset, and Fraser was able to work things out with Barbie. Fraser was a little too hard on his stew during the beginning of the season. However, they were able to work through their problems and forged a better relationship after their chat.
1 Ben Willoughby
Ben Is A Drama King
Close
There are many signs that the true villain of Below Deck season 11 is Ben. At the beginning of the season, he was Jared’s lead deckhand. As his performance as the bosun began to falter, Ben was vocal about how disappointed he was in Jared’s leadership skills. Captain Kerry noticed this and fired Jared when he got angry with Kyle after a night out drinking. Ben was asked to step up into the role of bosun, which he was eager to say yes to. He has a talent for yachting and has excelled as the St. David’s bosun.
Where Ben falters is his inability to stay out of drama. At the beginning of the season, he stirred up drama between Fraser and his stew by telling Barbie what Cat Baugh told Fraser about her. He got into even more drama when he started hooking up with his fellow exterior crew member, Sunny. They had an instant connection, but their relationship took a turn when Ben started flirting with other crew members. He made things worse when posting on Instagram about how he missed Camille Lamb, his ex from Below Deck season 10.
“If we sleep together, we sleep together. If we don’t, we don’t.
When Ben heard that his posts upset Sunny, he was angry. He told her point blank that they were not “attached to each other whatsoever,” even though they had been hooking up throughout the charter season. She was devastated by Ben’s words; however, they took some time apart and were able to get back on better terms. Ben is not a full-fledged villain, but his behavior makes him seem like one.
Below Deck season 11 would not be good without a little bit of villainous behavior. All the crew members show some negative behavior from time to time. The villain is an important archetype in all reality TV shows. While there is more than one person who behaves as such, the cast of Below Deck season 11 are generally good people.
Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.
