Dreamer's unique powers, like traveling through dreams, could be a valuable asset to a future Justice League team.
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Suicide Squad: Dream Team #3!Arrowverse fans can take comfort in the fact that Dreamer is finally showcasing herself to be a Justice League-level powerhouse. Nia Nal has been blackmailed into joining the Suicide Squad by threatening her home, the alien community Parthas. But Dreamer's defense of the refugees shows just how powerful the hero has become.
In Suicide Squad: Dream Team #3 by Nicole Maines, Eddy Barrows and José Luis, Task Force X is on the road, searching for Dreamer. Amanda Waller has leaked the location of Parthas to the world, making it vulnerable to anti-alien extremists. The Squad makes it to Parthas, where Dreamer is taking out the domestic terrorists one by one.
Dreamer reveals herself and tells the Suicide Squad that she's not leaving Parthas while it's under attack. The team tries to bring Nia in, but with a combination of her powers, Dreamer manages to fight the Suicide Squad to a standstill.
Dreamer's Far More Powerful Than Fans Give Her Credit For
As the world fell into chaos during "Beast World", Amanda Waller sought out Dreamer, believing her precognitive abilities could be a good asset. After Dreamer pulled off a successful job for Waller, the government agent decided to make her a full member of Waller's latest incarnation of the Suicide Squad. With Waller threatening to expose Parthas' existence, Dreamer went along with her new boss' plan to take over the island nation Gamorra. However, during the mission, Dreamer had a vision of Waller's goal of eliminating metahumans. Nia abandoned the Squad and Waller doxxed Parthas in revenge.
Dreamer's primary power is precognition, which admittedly, is a pretty cool and useful ability. But Nia shows that she can do way more than merely have visions for the future. When taking down the extremists, Dreamer skillfully knocks them out and arranges them carefully so she can travel through their dreams, giving her a serious advantage on the battlefield. Her energy blasts are also more than enough to keep up with the mighty Bizarro and Black Alice. Sure, she ultimately loses her bout with the Suicide Squad, but Dreamer's fight shows she's ready to join the Justice League.
Dreamer's Power Level Could Be a Serious Asset to the Justice League
Granted, there is no Justice League to speak of right now, but it's only a matter of time before the organization rebuilds itself. When it does, Dreamer would certainly make a good fit on the team. Between being able to transport anywhere in the world via dreams and energy blasts that can take on Superman-level threats? There are not many people who can do the kinds of things Nia can do and as powerful as the Justice League usually is, even they'd benefit from having Dreamer's unique and amazing power set on the team.
