Posted to Nexus Mods by creator An4r3w, the "Power Armor Voice Changer" mod does exactly what one might expect by altering the pitch of whoever has equipped one of the Brotherhood of Steel's imposing helmets. Much like the effect that was utilized in the series, characters who don a helmet will boom through the speakers with a gruff metallic voice, which is perfect for feeling like even more a powerhouse when dispatching a group of pesky raiders. It may not have any mechanical impact on the game but it's still makes for a more immersive experience that better resembles the Prime Video series.

While previous Fallout games have always depicted Power Armor as having a minimal impact on the voice of the occupant, the series opted to make an interesting change. The fuzzy radio sound effect usually used when speaking with a Power Helmet equipped was instead replaced by a booming, distorted voice that made it difficult to determine who was hidden underneath. This detail was used by Maximus to steal Knight Titus' armor and masquerade as a full-fledged member of the Brotherhood, an act that nearly saw him executed.

The "Power Armor Voice Changer" mod is far from the only fan-made add-on that aims to emulate the TV series. One of the most popular allows players to step into the role of The Ghoul, the iconic gunslinger brought to life by Walton Goggins. While it's largely just a character preset with a handful of custom items, many users have flocked to the creation after the show's debut given the anti-hero's deadly efficiency and subsequent popularity amongst the community.

Fallout 4 may be experiencing a surge in players given the recent debut of the Prime Video series but the game is still struggling to keep its users happy after Bethesda released an update that broke many of its most popular mods.
