Star Trek: Discovery's Mary Wiseman is saving watching the series finale coda for "when it's really over." Wiseman has portrayed the effervescent Lt. Sylvia Tilly for all five seasons of Discovery. Despite moving on to become an instructor at Starfleet Academy, Tilly was called back to the USS Discovery by her best friend, Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), who needs Sylvia's expertise in Star Trek: Discovery season 5's hunt for the ancient treasure of the Progenitors.

In an upcoming exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Mary Wiseman was asked about whether she has seen Star Trek: Discovery's series finale coda, which both Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones have descibed as "emotional." Wiseman says she hasn't seen the finished product, but she is "pleased as punch" with Discovery's endinhg and the "beautiful message" of Lt. Sylvia Tilly's arc. Read Wiseman's quote below:

Mary Wiseman: I haven't seen it. I prefer to watch the the show in real time. But I've read it. And I don't know. I'm saving that moment for when it's really over. But it's beautiful. I think they did a really nice job wrapping it up. And it feels very congruous with the rest of the season and the rest of the episode that it's a part of. So I'm pleased as punch, and I'm girding myself for when I actually watch it. Screen Rant: And you're happy with how Tilly's Star Trek: Discovery story is wrapped up? Mary Wiseman: Yeah, for sure. I think there's a beautiful message in the arc that she's had about finding what gives your life value for you. And finding out what you have to offer the world and then doing that.
