The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins has opened up about what he calls an "absolutely bananas" opening to season 3, revealing what to expect from the upcoming episodes. Season 2 featured plenty of important storylines within its ensemble cast, with plenty of exciting sequences throughout. This includes the season finale, which included a fight scene full of magic, weapons clashing, and ending with Rand revealing to the world his status as the Dragon Reborn.

Speaking with Deadline, however, Judkins teases the best is yet to come, with The Wheel of Time season 3 having a wild opening scene. The first 15 minutes of Season 3 is one of the most bonkers set pieces I’ve ever seen on television. I was just watching it this week and it is absolutely bananas what our team pulled off … just a bunch of women in their 40s and 50s shredding each other, and it is wonderful to behold.
