Hades 2: Where To Find Myrtle
In Hades 2, greenery reagents are just as important as any weapon or boon. Consumables, such as Myrtle, are necessary to fulfill recipes for Arcana Cards, Incantations, Aspects, upgrades, and more. Finding the necessary reagents is the first challenge to crafting anything in Hades 2, and Myrtle can only be found in one specific environment.
Hades 2 is broken up into four total zones: Erebus, Oceanus, the Fields of Mourning, and Tartarus. Each zone contains its own set of greenery exclusive to that region. As Hades 2 progresses down its roadmap with future content, we may see more reagents, or even more zones, added to the game. To make the most of each zone while Melinoe is in it, it’s best to know which reagents to expect before going in.

Where To Find Myrtle In Hades 2
The Fields of Mourning is the only zone in Hades 2 that grows Myrtle. The Fields are the third zone that you visit in the game, shortly after clearing Oceanus and defeating Scylla and the Sirens. The Mourning Fields is a unique zone in the Hades franchise.
Instead of short rooms with single rewards, the Fields are a vast, expansive zone with multiple sets of rewards and large quantities of enemies roaming around. This area makes finding reagents even harder due to its sheer size.
The Reagent Sensing Incantation alerts players to any reagents, greenery or not, after they have finished an encounter. This makes spotting items much easier.
You can identify Myrtle as a green and white plant. Compared to the withered grass in the Fields of Mourning, this greenery does stand out in contrast. If you’re still having trouble finding Myrtle in this zone, then it may be best to get the Reagent Sensing Incantation at the Crossroads.
You can unlock this useful ability by using the cauldron, usually found beside the Witch Headmistress Hecate, the first boss of the game and mentor to Melinoe.
What Is Myrtle Used For In Hades 2
Myrtle is currently only used in two Incantation recipes. Incantations in Hades 2 are unlockables that can provide new assets to Melinoe and even unlock entirely new gameplay mechanics, such as the Fated List of Minor Prophecies. Like many other parts of Hades 2, Incantations need to be crafted with materials found across Melinoe journeys throughout the Underworld. With the use of Myrtle, along with other greenery ingredients, players can craft both Reviving a Mournful Husk and Empath’s Intuition.

Reviving A Mournful Husk provides guidance to players in the Fields of Mourning, by way of a golden path of pedals that leads from room to room. Given how elaborate the expansive fields are in this zone, this can make your passage through this third zone much quicker.
Empath’s Intuition provides a progress bar that denotes your reputation with certain NPCs in the Crossroads. This Incantation is especially useful if you plan on romancing a given character in Hades 2.
