Star Trek: Discovery season 5 finally introduced the Betazoid written language, which means the word "Imazdi" can now be translated into Betazoid. Imzadi, the Betazoid word for 'beloved,' is what Counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) and Commander William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) have called each other since they met before Star Trek: The Next Generation. Betazoid writing became key to Star Trek: Discovery season 5 as "Labyrinths of the Mind," a book written by 24th-century Betazoid scientist Dr. Marina Derex, contained the final clue to the ancient treasure of the Progenitors sought by Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the USS Discovery.
