The entire cast of The Acolyte has been praised for their performances, which indicates that the new show will be extremely well-acted.

The cast and crew of The Acolyte recently praised co-star Lee Jung-jae for his portrayal of Jedi Master Sol in a behind-the-scenes video. The Acolyte has a star-studded cast, ranging from science-fiction icons like Carrie-Anne Moss, who played Trinity in The Matrix, to rising stars like Amandla Stenberg and Dafne Keen. There's an exceptional amount of talent in the upcoming Star Wars show, and they all took a moment to praise Lee Jung-jae in particular for his performance as Sol.

The behind-the-scenes video, shared by Star Wars, showed the creators and actors involved in The Acolyte giving Jung-jae praise for his command over emotional acting, his fighting skills, and how cool he looked while playing Master Sol.

Showrunner Leslye Headland and director Kogonada mentioned that the reason Jung-jae was cast in The Acolyte was because of his command over a range of emotions, which clearly impressed several people on set. Carrie-Anne Moss, who portrays Jedi Master Indara, said, "He is such a lovely actor, JJ. I feel so much, like he just has so much heart that he brings to it, and so genuine."

Jung-jae was also praised for the skills he showed during The Acolyte's fight scenes. Amandla Stenberg, who plays Mae, said, "Lee Jung-jae shines so beautifully in this role and looks fantastic when he's fighting. It's really like dancing. JJ's just a cool Jedi." Jung-jae was clearly appreciated by his coworkers, but he also spoke about how much having a role in The Acolyte meant to him. He said, "Honestly, I still can't believe I played a part in Star Wars. I'm still trying to be cool about it."

Such high praise from such impressive actors and creators is already an impressive sign of how Lee Jung-jae will perform in The Acolyte. The references to Jung-jae's command over his emotions seems to suggest that he'll have a very emotional role, and that he'll play it exceptionally well. Stenberg's comments about his fighting skills also hint that Jung-jae has several action scenes, and that he's more than capable of handling them. Headland also mentioned Jung-jae's role in Squid Game, and if his performance in The Acolyte is anything like that, he could very well be one of the best parts of the entire show.

The praise Jung-jae has received is also a great sign for Master Sol's role in the show. The Acolyte has already indicated that Sol is a central figure in the show's events, such as how he's Mae's former Master and Jecki Lon's current teacher. It's safe to say Sol will be one of the show's most prominent characters, and Jung-jae's praise-worthy performance means that a big part of the show depends on a very talented actor. With Sol as its foundation, The Acolyte could exceed its already high expectations and become one of the best Star Wars shows there is.

Jung-jae and Sol are just a few of the many reasons to be excited for The Acolyte. He may have received praise in this particular video, but he's far from the only cast member whose performance has been lauded. Headland has also celebrated Amandla Stenberg's performance as Mae, citing her physicality in action scenes as a major advantage. She also praised both Carrie-Anne Moss and Dafne Keen for similar reasons. The Acolyte seems to be bringing hugely impressive performances out of its cast, which is a tremendously good sign for the future of Star Wars.
