One Of Bloodborne's Coolest Weapons Is Now In Elden Ring Thanks To Fan

Summary Elden Ring players can now wield Bloodborne's Whirligig Saw, delivering brutal attacks against horrifying monsters with its terrifying teeth.

The mod replicates the weapon's move set, offering fast and punishing strikes for Tarnished looking to conquer towering bosses more effectively.

By adding Bloodborne weapons like the Whirligig Saw, Elden Ring players can enhance combat strategies, adding new dimensions to gameplay experiences.

Elden Ring may already be packed with interesting weapons but those Tarnished looking to dispose of their foes in the most barbaric fashion possible are in luck because one of Bloodborne's most brutal weapons is now available in the game. Given FromSoftware's penchant for creating some of the most chilling, horrific creatures players have ever seen, it makes sense that the tools provided to slay these monsters are equally as terrifying. The usual assortment of swords, axes, and clubs is effective, but those towering bosses need something with a more mechanical twist.

Fortunately, Nexus Mods user Noctis shared their Whirligig Saw mod for Elden Ring that allows the Tarnished to equip the iconic weapon added to Bloodborne through The Old Hunters DLC.

The mod perfectly replicates the weapon's move set, allowing players to seamlessly switch between a fast single-handed strike and a slower, more punishing two-handed smash with the actual blade of the Whirligig attached to the handle. It's an imposing weapon on the best of days but its terrifying teeth aren't just for looks as the weapon scales wonderfully with strength and lands bonus damage when used against beasts.

Perhaps what's most exciting about the addition of a Trick Weapon into Elden Ring is how it will allow players to free up their inventory and active equip slots. Being able to instantly switch between heavy and fast attacks should make dealing with groups of smaller enemies a breeze while attaching the saw blade will be a boon when it comes to toppling even the most daunting boss. Noctis notes that they are considering adding even more Bloodborne weapons into Elden Ring but it depends entirely on the support afforded to them by the community.

The ability to battle Margot and Radahn with a Whirligig Saw may be the experience Elden Ring players need to stay invested as they wait for the arrival of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The massive expansion, which is slated to arrive on June 21, will see The Tarnished explore an entirely new region that's roughly the size of Limgrave as they continue their undying quest to conquer The Lands Between. Aside from new bosses that will no doubt prove to be especially challenging, the DLC will also add plenty of additional weapons to further extend the combat systems.

Elden Ring may be over two years old but that doesn't mean the community has forgotten about the game. Players are still actively building custom content for the game and releasing their creations as mods for everyone to try and enjoy. FromSoftware may have confirmed that it has no further plans to expand its game but fans will likely keep it relevant for many years to come.
