All American showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll has addressed the possibility of the show getting renewed for season 7, hoping it can continue so future stories can be told. All American season 6 is currently airing, with the CW having confirmed two extra episodes for the end of the season. While the series has been a success for the network throughout its run, there's still no confirmation that it's going to be renewed for season 7.

Speaking with Variety, Carroll addressed how likely it was All American will get renewed for season 7, and what her hopes are for the future. The showrunner says she has "so many stories to tell," explaining how she wants the series to continue by exploring the lives of Spencer and the people around him after they're no longer young adults. We took them through their teen years, we’ve taken them through their college transition years. After that comes catapulting them from young adulthood into what I like to call quarter-life crisis, which is always a fun time and very high stakes. The network and the studio will make the decisions they make, in terms of when they feel this story is ready to come to an end. We are constantly ready to continue to grow these characters and pivot them.
