Today's Connections Hints & Answers For May 22, 2024 (Puzzle #345)

Wednesday, May 22 has brought us all some brand new Connections to solve and today's group of words shouldn't cause too much trouble for most fans of the game. There isn't any particular category that is too niche or outside of general knowledge. But it is Connections, and you never know what's going to distract you from the correct answers.

There are a lot of casual browser-based games available for players to jump into and it seems like there are new ones popping up every day. One of my personal favorites is Squabble, a Wordle copycat that turns the word-guessing game into a battle royale event.

BODY PARTS IN “HEAD, SHOULDERS, KNEES AND TOES” HEAD KNEES SHOULDERS TOES

Are we not going to talk about the answers being in the wrong order? Whenever you correctly guess the right collection of words, they zoom together and turn into the category color. When this one did that the answers were in the wrong order. Why? Why would they do this?

Was this done on purpose to ruin my day? I can understand that it wants to be alphabetical but with a topic like this, make an executive decision. Am I supposed to just go about my day thinking HEAD, KNEES, SHOULDERS, TOES? It's maddening.

Green Answers: Revealed & Explained

CAR, INFORMALLY AUTO RIDE WHEELS WHIP

Green was the second category for us to solve today and it was quite a quick one. WHIP and AUTO were the starting words and the others were fast to follow.

But seriously, you can't even sing the song when they're in that order. "Head, knees, shoulders, toes, shoulders, toes!" It just doesn't feel right. What's next, are we just going to throw away all sense of order? Should I put my hip in first now when doing the Hokey Pokey?

Blue Answers: Revealed & Explained

REMOVES THE COVERING OF PARES PEELS SHELLS SHUCKS

Blue was actually the first category we solved but that doesn't matter. If you're going to take something that is so well known and ingrained in the brains of people all over the United States why wouldn't you make sure they get placed in the proper order? You can't dance to Head, Knees, Shoulder, Toes! Your hands will need to move way too fast from your head to your knees then all the way back up to your shoulders.

What if I go too fast and hit my face trying to get from my knees to my shoulders? It's irresponsible is what it is, and dangerous. I won't promote this sort of reckless behavior. From the knees all the way to the shoulders?! Come on!

Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained

“BUZZY” THINGS BEES CAFFEINE GOSSIP INTERCOMS

Honestly, the biggest disappointment is the disrespect. The song has been around since 1912, but The New York Times, in 2024, thinks it's okay to just rearrange the words of this classic children's tune. I won't stand for this, I refuse. We need action, we need your voice, let Connections know you won't stand for it.
