Shadowheart has become especially popular among players, and the versatility of her character in-game based on the player's influence makes her an interesting cosplay subject.

Shadowheart’s First Desire Is To Become A Dark Justiciar
Until She Realizes She Once Worshiped Selûne
Though Shadowheart speaks at length with the player about her desire to achieve the role of a Dark Justiciar, she was never meant to be a worshiper of Lady Shar. If a player befriends her and digs into her backstory, she’ll unveil that she has few recollections of her life before the mission she was sent on to retrieve the Astral Prism. Though Shadowheart claims her memories were wiped to protect her goddess’s base in Baldur’s Gate, the Nightsong confesses the cleric’s true history to her, if spared.
After freeing the Nightsong and winning the subsequent battle, the daughter of Selûne will share with Shadowheart that the cleric was originally raised in a household worshiping the Moonmaiden. As is typical of Selûne's followers, Shadowheart (originally named Jenevelle) was sent to the wilds to test her skills and faith; Shar sent a group of her followers to kidnap Shadowheart during the expedition.
Lady Shar then forced Shadowheart to repeatedly use the Mirror of Loss (more so than many of her fellow Sharrans), altering her memories and convincing the cleric to torture her own parents. Players can ultimately choose whether they help her achieve her dream of becoming a Dark Justiciar or carefully push her to uncover her real memories. Should Shadowheart decide to revoke her faith as a follower of Shar, her hair will change from black to silver, signaling her devotion to her new deity.
Letting her ascend to the level of Dark Justiciar will ultimately cut off the Nightsong from becoming an ally, though, as part of the initiation process involves killing the Nightsong. Though this is definitely an option available for players to pursue in Badlur’s Gate 3, not having the Nightsong as an ally going into Act 3 can make the final battles particularly difficult, depending on who else the player recruits to their cause.
