Who Sings The Burger King Song "Whopper Whopper"? (It's Not Craig Robinson)
Summary The catchy "Whopper Whopper" jingle from Burger King's ad campaign is sung by Brooklyn artist Will Crown from Crown and The M.O.B.
Crown has experience in commercial jingles and has previously worked with Burger King, adding his voice to the viral marketing campaign.
Despite rumors linking him to the ad, Craig Robinson is not the singer of the Burger King song, leaving the spotlight on Will Crown.
Those who sit through YouTube ads without muting, or watch a commercial break while streaming without checking their phone, may have seen the recent Burger King ads and even if they haven't, they've certainly heard people repeating or humming the catchy jingle at some point, so who sings the Burger King song? Burger King, one of the top fast food operators in the world by national chains with over 18,500 stores (via Food and Wine), has frequently had some of the best and most unique marketing out of any other restaurant chain.
Whether it's producing a series of video games that have now become retro antiques, to being "The Home of the Whopper", to the unnerving but amusing smiling and silent King mascot offering BK to unsuspecting people, Burger King always seems to have creative and effective marketing campaigns. The company is no stranger to using celebrity cameos in its commercials either, with Sofía Vergara, David Beckham, and Ben Affleck all participating. This may be why many assumed another celebrity was responsible for the "Whopper Whopper" commercial.

The "Whopper Whopper" Burger King Commercial Explained
It's A Catchy And Repetitive Jingle For The Burger
Close
The "Whopper Whopper" ad campaign first ran in November 2022, but the jingle in the commercial has lasted long after that. In the commercial, a somewhat off-key but not unpleasant male voice sings, "Whopper, Whopper, Whopper, Whopper," before going into all the different variations of the burger and how customers can even further customize their sandwich. It's such an earworm that Burger King released a full-length version of the song on Spotify where it has since accumulated more than 11 million listens.
When the song and the ad first premiered, people speculated on who could be behind the unique and catchy voice, as they don't appear on-screen. Some users on Reddit zeroed in on Craig Robinson of The Office fame. It wouldn't be Robinson's first fast food ad, as he's been a Pizza Hut spokesperson. And don't forget, Darryl on The Office almost made the perfect Dunder Mifflin ad campaign jingle had Michael not ruined it, so Robinson is no stranger to marketing catchphrases and songs.
Users on Reddit speculated that he must be the source of the song. @Effective-Rip-2096 commented,
"It definitely is Craig Robinson, I know his voice anywhere from shows like hot tub time machine and This is the end movies etc"
Another user on Reddit, who's since deleted the account, replied to a question about who sings the song,
"I thought it was Craig Robinson, but I can't find anything that says who it is."
It may come as a surprise then that Robinson is not, in fact, the singer of "Whopper Whopper".
Will Crown From Crown And The M.O.B. Sings The Burger King Song
Brooklyn Artist Will Crown Has Performed Commercial Jingles For Burger King In The Past
It's Will Crown, of Crown and The M.O.B., who sings in the commercial (via Yahoo). A Brooklyn, New York musician, Crown has spent most of his career working on underground mixtapes, but he's also had some experience working in ads previously, partnering with New Amsterdam Spirits for an ad campaign. Crown has also previously worked on Burger King commercials, saying,
"Currently, I have been doing a lot of [Burger King's] jingles, so a lot of the voices you hear is me."
Crown adds his voice to a marketing campaign that has been going viral for a few years now with ads like the special pink Barbie burgers from Brazil (via Looper) and the Grimace milkshake viral challenges (via Looper). The musician divulged how he ended up doing the "Whopper Whopper" commercial. He was in the studio doing another ad when, via Yahoo,
"I just happened to be around the studio, and we were just having fun. They happened to be working on the Burger King spot already. And when I walked in, they say, 'Hey, you know what, give it a try.'"
It turns out that the mega-viral meme and Burger King ad song came about because of a lucky meeting. Though the repetitive song may irk some people, there's no denying it's a catchy and memorable jingle.
