After a number of successful films, Legendary's Monsterverse moved into the TV realm, telling a decades-spanning story about one family's ties to the mysterious organization known as Monarch. Godzilla made several appearances throughout the show, but the finale finally features the arrival of Kong, setting up a bigger role for the titan in the confirmed Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2.

In a recent interview with Gold Derby, Black teases how Kong will play an even bigger role in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2.

According to the creator, audiences can expect to see more of Kong in the show's sophomore outing. Check out his full comment below:

“We want to continue to tell the story of the Randa family and Cate and Kentaro and their father, Hiroshi, and now they’re grandmother, Keiko, but there also is a hunger for more spectacle, for more monsters. You know, how do we make it bigger and better? We reveal Kong at the end of the first season so there’s going to be an expectation that you’re going to see more of Kong that we want to deliver on.”

More to come...
