A new Special Illustration Rare Pokémon TCG card for the Night Wanderer set has been revealed and its artwork alone should be enough to have players and collectors tearing through booster packs to find it. Night Wanderer is the next set arriving to the Trading Card Game, exclusively in Japan. The expansion will arrive in early June in the country, though a portion of it will be adapted for the Western market via the release of Pokémon TCG: Shrouded Fable, scheduled for August. As such, some Night Wanderer cards revealed now will be available later in the West.

Now, 13 new Night Wanderer cards have been revealed, including one extremely enticing new Special Illustration Rare that will, hopefully, make into the Shrouded Fable set. As reported by Pokébeach, the 13 new cards are a fine mix of Pokémon and Trainer cards, with some of them having alternative versions being showcased as well. Among them is the Special Illustration Rare version of Pecharunt ex, which is an exquisite piece of artwork. All 13 new cards for Pokémon TCG’s Night Wanderer set can be seen in the gallery below.

The Pecharunt ex Special Illustration Rare card for the Night Wanderer expansion features the recently-introduced Mythical Pokémon spreading its poison with its Toxic Chain, which is represented by the Chain of Command card Ability. With it, once per turn, players can freely change a Benched Pokémon with their Active Pokémon, though the consequence is having the new Active Pokémon inflicted with the Poisoned condition. Its competitive value in Pokémon TCG has yet to be proven, but in terms of collection value, it is a must-have for enthusiasts due to its unique artwork.

Another noteworthy reveal among the 13 cards is the Illustration Rare version of Horsea, which features the Gen 1 creature calmly looking at bubbles near the seafloor. The Special Illustration Rare version of Pecharunt ex and the Illustration Rare version of Horsea were both presented alongside the standard print of each of their respective cards. The report also features the standard version of Kingdra ex, as well as Dangerous Laser, a new ACE SPEC card in Pokémon TCG.

These 13 new cards will arrive with the Night Wanderer set in Japan on June 7. It is uncertain exactly which cards will be added to the Shrouded Fable expansion and which will be cut if there will be any cuts at all.

Pecharunt ex and its Special Illustration Rare version should be added, as the Mythical Pokémon is also the mascot for the upcoming Western expansion.

The Horsea, Seadra, and Kingdra ex cards should also be added, as a new Kingdra ex bundle has been announced as part of the products for the Shrouded Fable expansion – though more concrete information about which cards will make it into the Western Pokémon TCG set should be revealed at its release approaches.
