Tom Hiddleston On The Ending & What's Next For MCU Hero

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

Summary Tom Hiddleston expresses his satisfaction with the Loki season 2 finale, which appropriately concluded Loki's character arc with a selfless sacrifice.

According to Hiddleston, Loki is actively "listening" and "watching" from the throne at the end of time.

Loki no longer needs to get involved in any MCU movie or show, but technically, he could enter any of the timelines he handles.

Loki star Tom Hiddleston knows what the MCU's former God of Mischief is doing and what he's feeling after the Loki season 2 finale. After a long journey from villain to anti-hero to full-fledged hero throughout Loki's MCU timeline, Tom Hiddleston's Norse god sacrificed himself to provide balance to the multiverse in the epic Loki season 2 finale. While Loki isn't dead, he has abandoned every existing reality, possibly forever.

Speaking to Variety, Tom Hiddleston explains why Loki's sacrifice is a perfect conclusion for the character, highlighting how Loki's long-sought glory was always more of a burden rather than simple pleasure. The actor also confirms that Loki's new job protecting every timeline is indefinite, but also that he's watching over everything that happens inside the timelines he handles. "I feel very happy with the narrative conclusion of season 2. I feel like, as Mobius says, sometimes purpose is more burden than glory - and Loki's found his purpose after all, which is to commit himself to protecting the lives of others by holding the timelines together. Where we go from here, I don't know, I really don't. He's listening, he's watching. That's all I know for now.
