Additionally, these codes are part of the game and can be entered on any console, making it easier for non-PC gamers to enjoy some extra helpings as well. These codes can all be found in various places, but it is also possible to use the vast majority without having come across them in the game.

Cheat codes can fix if you are missing a weapon in Red Dead Redemption 2. Cheat codes have your back if you want more money or to change your outfit. With these codes in hand, Arthur can don any weapon, ride any horse, and have infinite ammo as he rides around the Wild West doing as he pleases. Cheats can be found throughout the game, mainly in newspapers and graffiti. There are 37 scattered throughout Red Dead Redemption 2, but it might take a while to find most of them. Luckily, once found, they are fairly simple to implement no matter what system you are running the game on.

As soon as you use a cheat code, it will turn off Achievements/Trophies and disable saving completely. Turning cheats off will allow you to unlock Achievements and save your game, but because of this, it is recommended to save cheats for when you do not care about the state of your game, as it will revert back to the last time you saved before enabling cheats.

Most cheats in the list below can be used at any time, regardless of how far you have gotten or what you have done. However, a few cheats cannot be used unless you have made some progress or unlocked a specific newspaper. To find those newspapers, go to any of the cities in Red Dead Redemption 2 to find the newspapers and use the cheat codes.

To use a cheat code once it has been found, pause your game and go to settings. The text on the bottom right should tell you which button to open the cheats menu, typically Triangle on a PlayStation and Y on an Xbox. Once in the cheats menu, use the same button to enter a cheat code.

Type it in and select enter, and it will unlock the cheat. From there, you can toggle the cheat on and off. Save the game before you toggle the cheat code on; otherwise, you will have to re-enter the code every time you want to use it.

Capitalization does not matter when entering cheat codes, but punctuation does!
