Every Terminal Location In Chants of Sennaar

While the terminals located around the world of Chants of Sennaar aren't necessary to complete the game, linking all 10 of them will unlock the game's true ending, as well as an achievement. The game has five chapters, with one region per chapter, containing two terminals each. These terminals are used for fast traveling between areas, so if you're planning on returning to any of the locations in the game, you might as well grab the terminals while you're there!

Chants of Sennaar is a charming, cell-shaded puzzle game that presents players with the difficult task of translating an unknown language into English (or whatever language you have the game set to). It's an at-your-own-pace kind of game, reminiscent of Sable, that allows you to really take the time to enjoy this award-winning world. As you explore, you'll likely come across terminals on your own, but there are some that are just a bit easier to miss.

Each Terminal Location in Chants of Sennaar

There are 10 total terminals in Chants of Sennaar, two in each chapter. As you travel, interacting with each terminal will unlock a permanent fast-travel point that will permit you to make your way back to any terminals you've previously unlocked. If you unlock them all, you'll even obtain the "Cable Guy" trophy and achievement. If written walkthroughs aren't your jam, check out this video by BATTY MATE on YouTube.

The Abbey: Terminals One and Two

The first two terminals are located in the Abbey. As you enter the main hub of the Abbey, head towards the top right corner and descend the stairs. As you reach the bottom, you'll see the first terminal against the far wall.

The second terminal is not much further along. On your way to the Cemetery, there will be a crack in the wall between two pots and some foliage. Squeeze through it to find the second terminal and the last terminal in the Abbey area.

The Fortress: Terminals Three and Four

The next two terminals are in the Fortress area. The third one is a bit hidden; before you first enter the Fortress, slip through the small gap on the right side of the wall. The room on the other side will take you up towards the path forward and the terminal will be on the right.

To find the fourth terminal, you'll need to find the room with the mural puzzle. Head through the door on the right, take another right, and find the fourth terminal.

The Garden: Terminals Five and Six

The Garden set of terminals are pretty close to one another; from the room where the Toy Theaters and monkey are located, go down to the door and wait for the person behind it to open it up for you. Follow the stairs down and then enter the door at the end of the hall, where the terminal will be waiting. For the sixth terminal, head out the left exit of the Grand Theater and then down the stairs.

The Galleries: Terminals Seven, Eight, and Nine

The Galleries actually have three terminals, the first of which is right after the end of Chapter Four. Right as Chapter Four ends, head past the elevator controls onto the path (not down the stairs!) and follow it until you enter a room with the terminal on the right side.

Number eight is past the silver mine, down the stairs on the right side of that room. Head through that doorway at the bottom of the stairs to find the terminal waiting. For the final Gallery terminal, head down the Library stairs after finding the green hat. From here, you'll find the terminal on the wall outside the building.

The Exile: The Last Terminal

The very last terminal in the game is in the Exile location. After the very first rotating puzzle, don't head down the stairs just yet. Instead, go along the left-hand path to find some stairs. Head down and find the final terminal! Once you've activated this last terminal, you should unlock the "Cable Guy" achievement.

Chants of Sennaar's True Ending

After unlocking all 10 terminals in Chants of Sennaar, you'll also unlock the game's true ending. This isn't too complicated and is easier than unlocking the true ending of Hades. Check out another of BATTY MATE's videos on YouTube, or follow along. To complete the true ending, finish the game and wait until you reawaken after the "The End" screen. From here, head down the stairs on the left and through the doorway at the bottom.

On the other side of this door, head up the stairs and through the door at the top, then interact with the signboard next to the lever. Then, turn back around and head back out the hole in the wall you came through. You'll see the kid from earlier in the game on the other side of the canal. Talk to him, and then follow them through the doorway and up the stairs.

At the top, you'll see a control panel with another hint, and the hint will be unreadable. Using the clues from the mural up the stairs to the south, you'll find the phrase you need: "Plural, Impure, Make/Create, Music." After you enter this, follow the kid again into the Bards level of the tower.

Enter the theater lobby and examine the fountain on the left; you'll find a token, which you can give to the bouncer outside. The kid will walk back into the theater and stand on the elevator. Following him, interact with the curtain at the top and watch the play.

Once the play is done, head through the door to the west, go downstairs, and head through the door. Here, there will be a control panel that you can use to enter the phrase "Brother, Idiot, Bard, Find." This will open the door, which you should go through.

On this next screen, go northwest and then southwest. This will take you to where the murals were in the Devotee area. Past the murals, take the stairs to the southwest. Go southeast, and you'll see one of the murals has been thrown down here for you to interact with.

A cutscene of some scientists creating a potion will play; keep this in mind as you head back to the town square. Head up to where the entrance to the Fortress was. Interact with the control panel and enter this phrase: "Alchemist, Plural, Make, Formula." Be ready to run, as this will cause the Exile to release the monster you trapped in Chapter Four. Run northwest up the stairs, east, then south.

Follow the kid until you reach the maze in the abbey cemetery. The route is: west, north, east, east, north, west, north, east, east. Run from the water, then head west to the room with the statues. Run south when the boat appears, then go through the southwest door.

Hit the lever on the right side of the screen to end the monster for good, then keep going right to interact with the control panel next to the "exiled" you. Finally, exit to the east and head to the top of the tower, this time, for good! Interact with the panel at the top of the tower to fully revive it and complete the game's true ending.

Chants of Sennaar is a relatively packed game for how small it is, and it's won quite a few notable awards. Like Jusant, this game encourages you to take your time and enjoy yourself. While its slow pace and complicated language system might not be for everyone, this game presents an interesting re-imagination of the biblical Tower of Babel. Re-establish communication throughout the Tower as you enjoy your time in this beautiful and charming game.
