After 4 Years, Cyberpunk 2077 Still Has Secrets To Discover

Summary Discovering all of Cyberpunk 2077's Easter eggs will require dedicated exploration of the vast Night City landscape.

Quest Designer Maria Mazur confirms that there are still hidden secrets waiting to be found and treasures to uncover.

From cameos like Hideo Kojima to subtle nods to other games, Cyberpunk 2077 is packed with references waiting to be discovered.

Cyberpunk 2077 players may have a reputation for scouring Night City for any and all Easter eggs on offer, but it seems like the community will need to be even more dedicated when it comes to finding them all. Given the game's scale, it's not all that surprising that every hidden reference and homage hasn't been brought to light but the fact that it's nearly four years old proves just how much has been stuffed into the experience. One can only hope that by the time the sequel rolls around players will have picked Night City clean.

Per GamesRadar+, Quest Designer Maria Mazur, who largely worked on the excellent Phantom Liberty expansion, confirmed that there are still plenty of Easter eggs hidden in the game, teasing that she's still "waiting for people to find them all." Without providing any hints as to where these secrets can be found, Mazur notes that she loves it when players uncover these small interactions and moments, describing them as "precious." The community will no doubt be sent into a tailspin as it races to uncover all of these details in an effort to finally see everything Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer.

Night City Is The Home Of Secrets

You Just Need To Know Where To Look

Given the sheer scale of Night City, most of Cyberpunk's more inconsequential secrets are hidden well off the beaten path, requiring V to go out of their way to unwrap those precious Easter eggs. Some of the more fun homages include a Batmobile parked inside a shipping container in the Badlands, acclaimed video game director Hideo Kojima hanging out in a bar, and a circular dish in the desert bearing the number "101," serving as a nod to the Fallout franchise.

There are also a handful of more subtle Easter eggs scattered around Night City, including the popular addition of Haruyoshi, a reference to a character from the hit sitcom The Office. One of the most obscure can found when equipping the Skippy Gun: Listening to the AI, it can sometimes be heard humming the tune to Rihanna's 2008 song "Disturbia." The Witcher 3 is also well represented as CD Projekt Red's other major franchise has several Easter eggs dedicated to Geralt and his horse Roach.

Now that Phantom Liberty is out and Cyberpunk 2077's reviews have never been better, the community is looking toward the future. CDPR has confirmed that it's in the early stages of what it's calling Project Orion, the codename for the sequel which will officially launch after the upcoming The Witcher 4 game. When that will be remains unknown but it certainly won't be any time soon.
