Like father, like daughter. [Magneto and Polaris'] stand against Nimrod showed just what they're capable of side-by-side, and even the X-Men's greatest enemy couldn't stop them.
As the X-Men and their allies begin one last push against Nimrod and the AI behind Orchis, everyone is digging deep into the recesses of their own powers. Magneto and Polaris find an opening to do the same. Using so many bodies stretched Nimrod thin, creating a flaw for Max and Lorna to "increase the magnetic field" inside its body and further amplify the energy Storm is generating. It forms the perfect cycle of electrical charges and magnetic fields that, combined with the two mutants' extreme control and precision, allows them to obliterate the Nimrod they face.
Since his resurrection, Max has tested the limits of his powers – including destroying a different Nimrod body on his own, and pulling off an incredible "living electromagnet" feat that took down one of the formidable Stark Sentinels. Death did not slow him down, it revitalized him. Before his return, Lorna stepped in to take revenge for mutants and launched a fierce attack against Orchis with the massive Knowhere base. Like father, like daughter. Their stand against Nimrod showed just what they're capable of side-by-side, and even the X-Men's greatest enemy couldn't stop them.
Magneto and Polaris combined their abilities to become instrumental in defeating Nimrod, and now it's time for them to act as champions and leaders of mutants everywhere.

With the next era for mutantkind quickly approaching, they'll need new leadership. Max has shown time and time again that he'll do anything for his people and will step into whatever role he needs to play, be it hero, villain, martyr, or savior. His daughter shied away from the idea of taking more responsibility on Krakoa, but now that she's fighting at her father's side and making a profound difference, that could change. Magneto and Polaris combined their abilities to become instrumental in defeating Nimrod, and now it's time for them to act as champions and leaders of mutants everywhere.
