Throughout their time on Below Deck season 11, Barbie and Kyle’s boatmance was fascinating to watch unfold. While Kyle seemed clear on the fact that he was attracted to Barbie and interested in something happening with her quickly after setting foot on St. David, Barbie was more reluctant. Early on in the charter season, Barbie felt she may have interest in Jared, who she connected with after he shared more with her about his life back home. Jared ultimately wasn’t the right fit for Barbie, but her relationship with Kyle continued to develop as the charter season continued on.

Later in the season, Barbie and Kyle seemed to hit a point where they could no longer deny that they were attracted to one another. Though Kyle had waited for Barbie, she didn’t want him to wait any longer. They got together and began sharing Barbie’s bunk, but she was concerned about the perception that would come with them sharing a bed. Barbie was worried about her conservative father’s reaction to her hooking up with someone aboard St. David, which pushed Kyle away for a time. Ultimately, the pair were able to work through their hurt and came back together.

Barbie & Kyle Got Into A Fight On The Last Crew Night Out

While Barbie and Kyle’s relationship seemed to be on decent footing during the last crew night out, the pair went from exchanging “I love you”’s to a volatile argument in the span of just a few minutes. During the ride home from the crew night out, Xandi Olivier made some comments about Barbie’s work ethic that rubbed her the wrong way. After dealing with jabs being made about her work throughout the season, Barbie couldn’t take the criticism anymore and lashed out at Xandi. Kyle, who was sufficiently drunk, didn’t stick up for Barbie in the moment, which hurt.

After arriving back at St. David, Barbie stormed onto the superyacht and began packing her things, angry about what had transpired in the car ride home. While it was obvious that she wasn’t thinking clearly, Barbie’s anger was too strong for her to calm down. She ripped through her shared bunk and packed her things, calling for a cab to take her away from the superyacht hours ahead of schedule. Ignoring everyone, including Kyle, Barbie wound up leaving the St. David in a rage and telling Kyle to change his plans, because she never wanted to talk to him again.

Are Barbie & Kyle Still Together?

Though some Below Deck season 11 viewers were hopeful that Barbie and Kyle may have fixed their issues after the cameras stopped rolling, it appears that the boatmance stopped the second that Barbie left the superyacht. While it still seemed possible that Barbie and Kyle could be making things work, there have been reports that the boatmance didn’t transition into a romance at all after their time aboard the St. David. After Below Deck season 11 began airing, it was reported that Kyle was spotted on a dating app in Montana, where he shared he’d be living after the show.

After the reports of Kyle’s dating app history came out, it felt clear that his relationship with Barbie was over. The Below Deck stew then spoke up about her relationship status, confirming what viewers thought in the first place. Barbie shared that though she adored Kyle, their relationship didn’t continue after their time on the series. Further, Barbie let viewers know that she’s currently in a happy relationship with someone whose values and lifestyle better match her own. Though they were sweet aboard St. David, the Below Deck boatmance is no more.
