Is It Happening?

Summary Below Deck season 11 brought new captain and crew dynamics, fueling drama and viewers' interest in the Bravo series.

While fans hope for a reunion to address crew conflicts, it's unlikely Bravo will grant this wish for the current season.

Intense drama between crew members, unresolved boatmances, and cliffhangers make a reunion for Below Deck season 11 compelling.

Below Deck season 11 has been full of twists, turns, and drama that the cast hasn’t been able to discuss after the fact, leading many to wonder if there will be a reunion for the cast to air out their issues. Below Deck season 11 quickly became of interest to viewers who were excited by the idea of watching a new captain helm St. David. With Captain Kerry Titheradge taking over for Captain Lee Rosbach after years of hard work, the crew of St. David had to get used to a new way of life aboard the popular Bravo superyacht.

With a new captain came a new crew, as well. While Ben Willoughby and Fraser Olender had worked on Below Deck before, the rest of the crew were entirely new to the series, though not new to the yachting industry. Chief Stew Fraser worked with the interior team, comprised of Barbie Pascual, Xandi Olivier, Cat Baugh, and Paris Field throughout the charter season. On the exterior side, Bosun Jared Woodin was set managing Ben, Kyle Stillie, Marie “Sunny” Marquis, and eventually Dylan Pierre De Villiers. With the crew working hard, Below Deck season 11 had its fair share of drama.

Below Deck Season 11 Will Likely Not Have A Reunion

While many feel that Below Deck season 11 needs a reunion episode to bring the cast together and discuss what happened during the charter season, there likely won’t be that cathartic get-together for the current season’s crew. As Below Deck season 11 progressed, the drama began to get more extreme, but the happenings of the rest of the crew early on could even use some explanation. From the earliest moments of the season, there was drama brewing in the interior team between Cat and Barbie, and then for the rest of the season things heightened between Barbie, Fraser, and Xandi.

While the interior team had their drama, things were up and down between the exterior team. Ben and Sunny’s boatmance is something fans would love to see explored, but the majority of Below Deck viewers aren’t crossing their fingers. Though it would be great for the crew that worked aboard St. David during Below Deck season 11 to be able to reunite and discuss the issues of the season, it’s unlikely Bravo will be granting their wish. Despite there having been Below Deck reunions in the past, it seems unlikely that Below Deck season 11’s cast will have a reunion.

Fans Believe There Won't Be One

While Below Deck fans would look forward to a reunion for the season, they don’t have much hope surrounding the idea of actually seeing one. Many were looking forward to seeing the drama rehashed, especially because the end of Below Deck season 11 left off with some incredibly juicy drama as the crew boarded St. David for one last night after a night out. While the majority of the crew were looking forward to sleeping aboard the superyacht for one more night, Barbie wound up lashing out at Xandi after she made some difficult comments surrounding Barbie’s work ethic.

Despite the fact that Xandi and Barbie have been fairly neutral throughout the season, Xandi has been firmly on Fraser’s side in terms of where she stood about Barbie. Though she felt Barbie’s work ethic was decent, she often found herself wondering why Barbie had such a bad attitude. As Fraser’s second stew, Xandi was the person the rest of the interior team deferred to when he wasn’t available for direction. Though Xandi could be competent work-wise, her behavior was more erratic outside of her job role, which led to some major arguments between Xandi and Barbie.

Why Below Deck Season 11 Should Have A Reunion

Below Deck season 11 should have a reunion because the season left off with some incredible drama that hadn’t been resolved. Barbie and Xandi’s fight during the ride home from the crew night out brought out a side to Barbie that the charter crew hadn’t seen before. Locking herself in her room, Barbie packed her things and left in the middle of the night without speaking to Kyle, who she’d planned to spend the next several weeks with, in her native Miami. Though Barbie left early, the rest of the crew stayed on St. David for the night before departing.

Viewers would likely love to see an update on what happened between Barbie and Kyle after Barbie’s meltdown shook their boatmance apart, but there’s more to unpack after the turbulent Below Deck season 11. Fans of the series would likely also want to hear an update about where Sunny and Ben stand after their rocky boatmance during the charter season, as well as where Ben stands about coming back to St. David in the future. The rest of the crew would be able to fill Below Deck viewers in on the drama they were involved in, as well.
