May is coming to a close, but we've still got a few Connections before the summer months hit. Tuesday's selection of words could cause a few players to lose their long-standing win streaks. Pay close attention to your choices in today's game and don't try to rush through.

We lost three of our possible attempts at the beginning of the game just by insisting VILE, EVIL, WICKED, and something else that's mean should have been a category. That is completely our own fault and you should always know when to cut your losses and just move on. Luckily, after the third miss, we did just that and scored the yellow category.
OPEN and FLEXIBLE were the two words that started our win with this particular word-grouping. After we noticed that it was a quick jump to see the rest and move on.
Green Answers: Revealed & Explained
ANAGRAMS EVIL LIVE VEIL VILE
Once we moved through the yellow our brains still wanted to match up mean things, so EVIL and VILE were constantly at the forefront of our minds. That's when the lightning hit and LIVE and VEIL came into view. It's all the same letters! Well played Connections, well played. We scored this one second and moved closer to the finish line.

With just eight words left, we knew we were destined for a win. Blue ended up being our last category to score and I had no idea there were ranks in a spelling bee. If it wasn't for those little red squiggly lines that appear under most things I write, I would be incoherent with text.

ADJECTIVES FOR A CANDLE LIT SCENTED WAXY WICKED
Yo, this category is LIT, literally, you light candles. Get it? Well we did, and we were lucky to win today's Connections by the skin of our wax lips. I know that WICKED is referring to the word WICK, as in it has a WICK. But every time I read it it's still just an evil thing, WICKED Witch, or WICKED the Musical.
