Two New Sims 4 Kits Are Arriving Just In Time For Summer Relaxation

The kits focus on creating a Riviera-like atmosphere and bistro experience.
Electronic Arts is working on improving The Sims 4 with more inclusive content, fixes for bugs, and a Season of Love theme.
Even more content has been announced for The Sims 4, including serene retreats and cozy spaces. Over the last few months, Electronic Arts has shared a road map of upcoming content for The Sims 4, focusing on adding more inclusive styles. Developers are also working on some major issues the game has faced over the last decade, which many fans are looking forward to. Some updates have been free for everyone, while others have been paid content, but regardless of how the content is being delivered, it is clear that there is a push to improve the game.
In a recent announcement by Electronic Arts, brand-new Kits will be available for all players on May 30, 2024. These Kits include the Riviera Retreat and the Cozy Bistro Kits, and both will have different Build Mode items and Create-A-Sim items.
The setting for the Riviera Retreat Kit looks like a French paradise, with architecture that gives the Sims the feeling they're on vacation relaxing poolside. The Cozy Bistro Kit allows Simmers to build their own Bistro and serve the Sims of the world food and drink and is heavily influenced by having Nectar from the Horse Ranch Expansion.

The New Kits Focus Heavily On Giving Simmers A Riviera Experience
These Kits lend to the theme of the road map that EA set out earlier this year. The publisher mentioned that this will be the Season of Love in The Sims 4, giving players more options to take their Sims on romantic dates and getaways. Developer Maxis has added new swatches for outfits, specifically for swimsuits, which aligns well with the new poolside retreat on the way. Though there aren't many details about what the Kits will include aside from the design of them, it can be expected that a lot of Build Mode items will be included.
New content can be a controversial topic when it comes to The Sims 4 community, especially considering the cost and the number of bugs these packs tend to have at launch. From broken mechanics to completely wild graphical glitches, there's always a worry that the Cozy Bistro Kit will share an uncanny resemblance to the existing Dining Out. Having a sit-down restaurant seems like it could be an enjoyable experience, but players are plagued with starving Sims, glitched waiters, and an unenjoyable experience after everything.
Hopefully, the new team will fix these issues before they become an issue for anyone who wants to have a Bistro of their own. Fans have been worried about buying new content, but these small additions could be something exciting for those who are hoping to live out their Riviera dreams and show off their Sims in their brand-new swimsuits. As more fixes are implemented, more players will be excited to jump back into the world of The Sims 4 and longtime players will hopefully get the game they have been dreaming of for a while.
