All NPC Locations In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 features a cast of twelve new NPCs who offer useful items and services to players all across the Fortnite island. By exchanging their hard-earned Gold Bars, players can receive rare items or even recruit NPCs as squadmates, giving them a powerful advantage over their opponents. However, some NPCs offer better trades than others and learning the best ways to spend Bars is incredibly important.
Players may come across a few familiar faces from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, but even returning characters will offer different items and services. NPCs have a diverse range of items in stock this season, including equipment for vehicle repairs and even bottles of Fallout's iconic Nuka-Cola beverage. Finally, certain NPCs can be challenged to duels; a feature that was notably absent from Fortnite's last few seasons.

Players should avoid buying any weapons from NPCs. Most NPC weapons can be found as floor loot and players will generally recover better weapons from eliminated opponents as a match progresses. As such, it's hard to justify spending any Gold Bars on weapons. The Fortnite island is littered with items that match or even outmatch the weapons sold by NPCs.
The one exception players may want to buy is the newly introduced Boom Bolt: a crossbow that fires explosive rockets that deal damage on impact, then explode after a delay for additional damage. However, earning Gold Bars in Fortnite isn't easy, so it's worth thinking carefully about purchasing a Boom Bolt.
Duels with Cerberus and Oscar offer an alternative way for players to obtain high-quality weapons. Once challenged to a duel, these NPCs will immediately turn hostile and start attacking the player that challenged them, behaving in a similar way to NPC bosses from previous seasons. However, once defeated, Cerberus drops a Mythic-quality Cerberus' Gatekeeper Shotgun while Oscar drops a Mythic-quality Oscar's Frenzy Auto Shotgun.
Mythic weapons are among the rarest weapons in Fortnite and often have potent damage stats. As such, dueling Cerberus and Oscar gives players a valuable opportunity to obtain a high-quality weapon in the early stages of a match: a decisive advantage over other players.
Finally, players should also consider recruiting NPCs. Artemis, Centurion, Ruckus, and Triage Trooper can all be recruited as AI-controlled squadmates, which can be particularly powerful when playing solo. However, each of the four NPCs has its own special abilities and approaches to combat, which players should consider before hiring them.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 also features three NPC bosses known as the Wasteland Warriors. Unlike bosses from previous seasons, all three Boss enemies in Chapter 5 Season 3 can either be found at a specific location, or roaming the open world as part of a vehicle convoy. This means they won't always appear in the same location every match. They may also have backup from minions.
Boss Location Medallion Additional Drops The Machinist Redline Rig The Mechanist's Medallion (gradually restores Shield over time, and can also be used to open The Mechanist's garage to access her modded car) The Mechanist's car.
The Mechanist's Combat Assault Rifle (Mythic) Ringmaster Scarr The Nitrodrome Ringmaster Scarr's Medallion (grants infinite ammo and a buff to damage, and can also be used to open Ringmaster Scarr's garage to access her modded car) Ringmaster Scarr's car.

Megalo Don's Nitro Fists (Mythic)
Megalo Don's Combat Shotgun (Mythic)
Vehicles with Nitro have their driving speed increased, fuel consumption decreased, and also gain additional ramming power and buffs to damage dealt by modded turrets or bumpers.
The three bosses appear as medallion icons on the in-game map, indicating their current locations. However, the weapons and items obtained from boss enemies are highly valuable, so players should expect plenty of competition when challenging these NPCs to a fight.
Anyone holding a boss medallion is marked on the map, making it easy to locate them. The more medallions a player holds, the more precise their location is.
This season, players will find that Fortnite's NPCs have even more to offer than in previous seasons. Recruiting or trading with NPCs can be incredibly beneficial, but they can also be challenged to battle on the roads of the Fortnite island for the opportunity to earn even more powerful rewards.
