Baldur's Gate 3 embraces its sensual nature in many forms, including some in-game texts that Larian Studios intentionally scattered throughout the realm of Faerûn. To that end, one person gave themselves a quest to find all of these texts and reveal them to the world in case others didn't find them.

That person was Redditor Kokokringle1, who posted eight different romantic writings of various subjects and natures that one can find within Baldur's Gate 3. As with many genres, some of the texts are about enlightenment within the realm of sensuality, while others are stories about various characters, both original and part of Faerûn lore.

These stories range from lovers' tales to romantic alignment and even more graphic stories of romance within the world. There is even one about the Dragonborn species and their mating methods, among other things.

This highlights Larian Studios' desire to make their RPG as unique as possible, even if it meant cutting content in the end. In contrast, while the Mass Effect franchise was famous or infamous for the various characters that Commander Shepard could romance with accompanying scenes, there wasn't an option for them to get Codex entries of this kind of romantic writing. In many ways, it would've been out of place within that universe. Yet with Baldur's Gate 3 it perfectly fits the narrative that the team wanted to create.

Specifically, Larian Studios head Swen Vincke noted in the past that one of the things he and his team strove for within their game was to make things as mature and relatable as possible, even when it was doing things that would be dubbed wild by most. Vincke cited certain TV shows and their mature tone with such material and stated that they tried to emulate that. That tracks with many elements of the game, including the ability to romance any character in your main party, including a heavily tentacled species via the illithids.

In the end, Baldur's Gate 3 having these texts within its world is honestly harmless. If anything, it highlights the truth of the fantasy world and the real world, where if someone can write rather adult-themed texts and feel that people would buy them and read them, they would do so. The only question is whether these kinds of texts will be found in the series' next entry whenever it's made.
