All the characters in Demon Slayer grow and become more powerful as the series progresses. However, few of them transform as much as Nezuko Kamado, Tanjiro's younger sister and only surviving sibling after a devastating demon attack. She was once human, but rapidly changed into a demon after the creatures attacked her home and killed most of her family.

Although she is a demon, Nezuko still loves Tanjiro and is able to somewhat hold onto her humanity as her brother searches for a cure to turn her back into a human. u/Keeteacat has created a cosplay of this interesting, complex character, absolutely nailing her physical appearance in the anime.

The cosplayer wears a pink and black dress with triangular patterns across it and red, white, and green detailing, as well as a long black kimono over the top of the garment. Their wig is long and dark, with striking burnt orange colored ends that look identical to Nezuko's hair color.

A few careful details of the cosplay make it extremely apparent that Nezuko is no longer human and has become a demon. First of all, the cosplayer's nails are fairly long, like Nezuko's. Most importantly, they are wearing a green bamboo muzzle in their mouth, which is an important staple piece of Nezuko's everyday wardrobe after her demon transformation. Unfortunately, the girl is required to wear this bamboo muzzle any time she is around humans after becoming a demon, because although she does not consciously want to harm humans, it provides a necessary precaution should her demon instincts take over.

It is ironic and tragic that out of all the characters in Demon Slayer, Nezuko was the unfortunate victim who became a demon, because she is one of the sweetest characters in the series. Her kindness, love for those around her, and dedication to protecting her older brother, Tanjiro, even at risk to herself, are heartwarming. After first becoming a demon, she had trouble using her skills or fighting for very long, but in later seasons of the show, she dealt serious damage to other demons. This surprised them, as they were not used to their own kind fighting against them.
