How To Get Agent Smith In MultiVersus

Agent Smith has come to MultiVersus and players want to know how to get their hands on him. In the game, there are a number of characters from varying properties, from Bugs Bunny to Shaggy to Arya Stark. While the game itself is free, like many other games players might have to spend money on the character they like the most. The good news is that players can get Agent Smith right now completely for free.

With the full launch of MultiVersus, the game announced a host of new characters, including both Jason Vorhees and Agent Smith, would be joining the roster. While all characters can be unlocked eventually, there is a special event happening now that will allow you to unlock Agent Smith before he is added to the game so that you can play him as soon as he is available, no Gleamium or Fighter Currency required.

Unlocking Agent Smith For Free

Grinding Rifts

In order to unlock this new character in MultiVersus, players will have to complete a certain number of Rift events. You can get there from the event page that features Agent Smith. The event runs from May 27th until July 30th, but as there are six total Rift bosses to defeat in this event you will have to act quickly.

As part of the event, you will also slowly unlock an Exclusive Agent Smith variant that will not be available in any other way. You will also be able to unlock up to 3000 Fighter Currency throughout the event, which will allow you to unlock other characters in the game. So not only will you get Agent Smith, but you can also unlock others, like the new Jason shown in the MultiVersus trailer, for free.

When you go to the Rifts page, you can start your attempt to unlock Agent Smith. It is a new PvE mode, and you can attempt these solo or in multiplayer. They work in a similar way to a board game, with several Nodes each. Completing a Node will give you rewards and upgrades, and these Nodes are often a challenge that you have to overcome.

Bring your friends along and everyone gets to earn the rewards and have some fun working together. Each boss you defeat gives you a point, and you will have to get to at least level 20 in order to unlock Agent Smith. The Matrix Variant of Agent Smith is unlocked last, at level 30.

The exact date of his launch has not yet been confirmed, but if you already have him unlocked, you will know as soon as he is available to play.

You can check your progress on the event page in MultiVersus, so you can keep an eye on how close you are to unlocking Agent Smith. Once you do, the game states that you will have access to him two weeks before his launch, and with new stages to battle on, you can start to wreck every universe from within the Matrix. After that, Agent Smith will be available to unlock as normal in MultiVersus.
