Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has added another major star to the cast. The upcoming Wake Up Dead Man is the second sequel to Rian Johnson's 2019 whodunit hit Knives Out, which introduced Daniel Craig's idiosyncratic private detective Benoit Blanc. Just like the previous movies, this third installment will feature the detective being plunged into the center of a new murder mystery, surrounded by a huge all-star cast. Previous stars who have appeared in Blanc mysteries include Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, and Janelle Monáe.
Per Deadline, Kerry Washington has officially boarded Wake Up Dead Man. The character who she will be playing is currently unknown, as details about the plot of the murder mystery are still being kept tightly under wraps beyond the fact that it will follow Blanc's "most dangerous case yet." She joins a swiftly expanding cast that already includes Challengers breakout Josh O’Connor, Priscilla and Civil War's Cailee Spaeny, and Sherlock and Fleabag star Andrew Scott.
