New Sims 4 Update Requires Daily Login For Rewards, But There’s Already A Way Around It
Summary New updates in The Sims 4 require daily logins for rewards.
Logging in multiple times a week will reward players with Build Mode and Create-A-Sim items, as well as one new Trait.
The Daily Rewards have not excited longtime Sims 4 players, and there are already methods to earn the items immediately.
New updates coming to The Sims 4 incentivize players to login daily, but there is already a way around the new feature. The Sims 4 has been getting a lot of attention and updates lately, with new free content being added almost weekly, and brand-new Kits arriving by the end of May. Some of these additions are long overdue, like fixes to expansion packs and more inclusive styles. Players have been excited to see these add-ons, citing a lack of variety and inclusivity in many of the Create-A-Sim items, and are hopeful more is on the way.
According to The Sims Community, Electronic Arts is now adding a daily incentive reward for players that log in on multiple days for four weeks. This event is rumored to start on May 29 or 30, and has a reward for each day that a player logs in.
Some of the weeks require logging in three times a week, while week four only requires one login to receive the reward. It appears as though the items are only available during that week, so if a player misses out on logging in three times in the first week, they won't be able to get those rewards.

Sims 4 Mod Already Provides A Workaround For Daily Logins
Sims 4 Fans Are Not Excited About Daily Rewards
Though these Daily Rewards seem like a fun experience for newer fans, there are already a few different workarounds to get them for players who don't feel like trying to keep up with the daily login. A mod created by Simsiboy (via Patreon) includes all the cosmetic items, but does not include the trait, since it seems as though it can be added as a trait when players randomize their Traits instead of searching for it. There is also a supposed glitch that has been found that unlocks all the items immediately.
These rewards seem to be primarily cosmetic, except for one Trait Reward. The Trait Reward is called Practice Makes Perfect and it makes the Sim learn at 50% speed until they hit a certain level, and then it speeds up from there. This Trait could be a fun challenge for someone who is trying to do a Perfectionist challenge in The Sims 4, but for practical playthroughs, this almost seems to be undesirable. The cosmetic rewards include vending machines, dart boards, and compact bars that can be added in Build Mode and a few Create-A-Sim items.
Unfortunately, the items don't seem like enough to incentivize longtime players into picking up the game more, with many saying this won't change the way they play the game. Even though there are bug fixes and updates coming to The Sims 4, it seems as though Maxis will need to do a little more to get the fan base on board for these rewards. The Sims 4 has an avid following, but adding in a daily requirement with lackluster rewards might not be what players are hoping to see for the future of the game and The Sims franchise.
