Mike Feist's great performance in Challengers is all the more reason to check out his thrilling Amazon drama series. Faist stars alongside Zendaya and Josh O'Connor in Luca Guadagnino's latest film, which has been celebrated as one of the best new movies of 2024. Faist plays Art, one of the two tennis players who falls head over heels for Zendaya's Tashi, a true phenom until she has a career-ending injury. Art ends up marrying Tashi, although O'Connor's Patrick dated her first and never left the picture.
Although the ending of Challengers is left somewhat ambiguous, what's clear is that Art and Patrick are able to reconcile their differences at the end of the Rochelle challenger tournament. Challengers has received nearly universal acclaim, earning an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and inspiring early Oscar buzz for Zendaya, who also recently starred in the highest-grossing film of 2024 as of April, Dune: Part Two. Challengers has instantly solidified itself as one of Guadagnino's best movies of his directorial career and became a career-best opening box-office performance for Zendaya as the lead in a non-IP, original film.

Mike Faist's Performance In Challengers Makes Me Wish Panic Lasted Longer On Amazon
Faist was great in a shortlived but popular Amazon original series
Close
Faist's excellent lead performance in Challengers is a great reason to check out Panic (2021), an original dramatic thriller series on Amazon Prime Video. Faist plays Dodge Mason in Panic alongside Olivia Scott Welch (Fear Street, Shithouse, Unbelievable), Jessica Sula (Split, The Lovers, Skins), and Ray Nicholson (Promising Young Woman, Licorice Pizza). The series follows a group of teenagers who compete in an annual tournament called Panic, which has previously had deadly consequences.
The series ran for 10 episodes and received moderately positive reviews. Faist's Dodge was undoubtedly one of the best characters in the series and inherently made the show much better. Panic was created for television by the author of the original novel of the same name, Lauren Oliver. Its entire first season is still able to be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Despite having a 67% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, Panic was mostly a hit with audiences, earning a 79% audience score. Its biggest fault, however, is ending season 1 with cliffhangers, leading viewers to feel ultimately dissatisfied.
