Bandidos season 1’s ending featured action, adventure, and plot twists until the very last moments. Created by Pablo Tebera, the Spanish language series follows Miguel Morales, the son of Juan Morales, a renowned archeologist who is suffering from Alzheimer's. Miguel, who is down on his luck and is always looking for a way to make it big, encounters Luis Fernández de Montejo, the great-grandson of Francisco de Montejo, who, legend has it, hid the biggest treasure the world has never seen. The action-adventure series is made even more intriguing because Bandidos was filmed in real archaeological locations.

During a night out, the drunk Luis shows Miguel the map to the Aj Took treasure that is tattooed on his stomach. Unfortunately, Luis turns up dead and Miguel has to figure out a way to find the treasure. After Luis's death, Miguel forms a team of bandits consisting of Lili, a talented scammer, Wilson, who is retired, and Lucas, the hacker, to help him locate the Aj Took treasure. As the group embarks on their treasure hunt, they encounter the Mobster, who is also interested in acquiring the fabled treasure. What follows is a wild treasure hunt, intense action, drama, and unlikely alliances.

Miguel Finds The Treasure Of Aj Took In Bandidos' Ending

Miguel And His Team Locate The Shipwreck

Close

Bandidos season 1 has a satisfying ending when Miguel and his friends find the treasure of Aj Took. Miguel initially thinks locating the Aj Took treasure won't be difficult, but his near misses and encounters with the mobster prove him wrong until, finally, all the pieces start coming together. While the team drifts at sea, Miguel figures out where the shipwreck with the treasure is located by using the stars to navigate.

The Aj Took treasure was stolen by three Spanish conquistadors: Pedro de Alvarado, Francisco de Montejo, and Alonso de Alvarado. The trio locked away the treasure in a chest which was supposed to be unlocked by three stone lockets. However, Francisco de Montejo was a con man, and in true con man fashion, he ensured that only his locket was the key to the treasure chest. Fortunately, Miguel was able to deduce Francisco's plan and, since he was in possession of the moonstone, was able to unlock the treasure chest, making him and his team the new owners of the enormous treasure.

Does Lili Die In Bandidos Season 1? Miguel's Plan Explained

Lili Faked Her Death

Bandidos season 1's ending shows that Lili didn't actually die. After the team found the Aj Took treasure, Lili decided to steal the Kaan Balam gold statue, but Miguel shot her before she could get away. However, the shooting was part of Miguel's plan to trick the dangerous people who were pursuing Lili into believing that she was dead. For his plan to work, Miguel and Lili planted a decoy body in the morgue in case the people who wanted her dead came searching.

Lili's fake death had to be carefully planned and kept secret so that even the other members of the heist group did not know that she was alive. Before Wilson died, he ensured that Lili had a new identity and passport so she could begin a new life. At the end of Bandidos' season 1, Miguel and Lili drive away, happily discussing what their next heist will be.

How Are Miguel And The Mobster Connected?

Miguel Met The Mobster During An Archaeological Expedition

The mobster is a formidable villain and a former archaeologist that Miguel and his team have to race against to find the Aj Took treasure. Throughout Bandidos season 1, the mobster keeps hinting that he and Miguel have a connection, but Miguel has no idea who he is. When Miguel and his heist team have a confrontation with the mobster at the museum, he finally reveals how he and Miguel are connected.

When Miguel was a child and on an archaeological expedition with his father, he caused an accident that burned the mobster and left him disfigured. The mobster hated Miguel and his father ever since the accident and was determined to bring him down; with Miguel's father not really being in the picture, Miguel became his new target. In the penultimate episode, "The Traitor", the mobster shoots Wilson and leaves the team for dead. Luckily, they are rescued by Octavia and Inés.

Was Lili The Traitor In Miguel's Team?

Ariel Was The One Pulling The Strings

In any treasure hunt or heist story, one person always secretly wants to have it all. Everyone in the heist team had a good reason for wanting to keep the treasure for themselves. Wilson was in debt; Clitla needed the money for her family; and Miguel wanted to pay for his dad's treatment. Unfortunately for Lili, her actions came across as quite sketchy, making her seem like the traitor. Lily was being hunted by an unknown group of powerful people who wanted her dead, so she had the most to gain by stealing the Aj Took treasure.

However, despite Lily seeming like the likely traitor because she was the only one who escaped the cavern, Ariel was actually the one pulling the strings all along. Ariel wanted to keep the gold jaguar to display in his museum and his greed and the fact that he was working with the mobster was a significant clue to him being the traitor. Although Lily seemed to be working with Ariel, she showed her true allegiance when she drugged him and rescued her friends.
