Night Court will be returning to the air. The sitcom, which stars Melissa Rauch as Judge Abby Stone, is a revival of the original NBC series of the same name, which ran for nine seasons between 1984 and 1992. Set during the night shift at the Manhattan Criminal Court, the show also stars India de Beaufort, Lacretta, Nyambi Nyambi, and original star John Larroquette reprising his role as Dan Fielding. Although Kapil Talwalkar played the clerk Neil in season 1, it was announced that he had departed the series shortly before season 2 went to air following a holiday special.

Per Deadline, Night Court season 3 has been officially renewed by NBC. This news comes just over a month after the season 2 finale aired on March 26, 2024. The new season will reportedly consist of 18 episodes. If that is indeed the case, it will be the longest season yet, as the first had 16 while the second had 13.
