The footage was attached to the re-release of The Phantom Menace for the film’s 25th anniversary. With The Acolyte taking place in Star Wars’ High Republic era, set before Episode I, this certainly makes sense. While little is known about The Acolyte’s story until its release date, the footage provides an extra special look at an action-packed sequence teased in the first trailer for The Acolyte.

The footage from The Acolyte begins with Mae, played by Amandla Stenberg in The Acolyte's ensemble cast. Mae is shown walking into a cantina, presumably in the Outer Rim, searching for Carrie-Anne Moss' Master Indara. Mae begins attacking the people sitting with Indara, before the latter engages her. The combat is notably fluid, expertly choreographed, and features a dynamic camera that allows for a beautifully crafted, thrilling encounter. Mae flees after failing to grab Indara's lightsaber, forcing Indara to save civilians using the Force. Mae then launched a volley of knives that Indara blocks, bringing the footage to a close.
