In the wake of more and more fantasy TV shows adapted from popular novels, Netflix is trying something different with a new Redwall adaptation. Brian Jacques' children's fantasy series about heroic mice and other animals was previously adapted into an animated series in 1999. Now, Netflix is planning a new show, based on Martin the Warrior, the sixth book in the Redwall series. Development on the Martin the Warrior show has been stagnant for some time, with no confirmed showrunner or even animation style to date. However, it will presumably be more family-friendly, given the tone of the source material.

Following the conclusion of the John Wick saga, Reeves plans to star in a live-action movie adaptation of BRZRKR. Meanwhile, Reeves is the showrunner for an anime Netflix series that will be a spinoff of the movie. A testament to Reeves' popularity and talent, Netflix has already confirmed two seasons (via IGN). It may be years until it arrives, but at least there will be other BRZRKR material to pass the time.

3 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell TV Show

Also on the horizon in Netflix's video game adaptation department is an anime-style series based on the Splinter Cell video game franchise. While there is no showrunner or release date for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, its development is happening alongside a Far Cry anime-style series, based on the game also produced by Ubisoft. A movie adaptation of Splinter Cell's black-ops story went through various stages of development throughout the 2000s but never came to fruition. Fans who wanted to see this movie will hopefully be satisfied by the new show, with John Wick writer Derek Kolstad on board as creator.

The adaptation of an unspecified animation style based on Curtis Jobling's fantasy novel series Werewold is apparently further along in development, with a confirmed showrunner (Tom Brass) and three confirmed cast members (Louis Landau, Nina Barker-Francis, and Kim Adis). Jobling's series follows a 16-year-old who discovers upon his coming of age that he is the last in a long line of werewolves and the rightful ruler of his kingdom. Lime Pictures and Jellyfish Pictures are producing the series, the latter of which fittingly worked on How to Train Your Dragon.
