Jesse L. Martin has had a great run on television, going from 9 seasons of The Flash to a new hit show in The Irrational. Now, he's finally bringing those chops back to the big screen in Re: Uniting, which will have a limited theatrical release across the U.S. beginning on May 31. While the actor is best known for his kindhearted cop roles — not to mention nearly 200 episodes of Law & Order — he is also an incredible Broadway talent, having brought the iconic musical Rent to life on stage and screen.

Screen Rant has a special behind-the-scenes clip from Re: Uniting, which features Martin's talent as a singer-songwriter. In the clip, the actor croons a beautiful ballad called "Little Every Girl" that he himself wrote. Michelle Harrison (who co-starred with him on The Flash as Barry Allen's mother, Nora) sings it with him, underscoring the beautiful relationship they have in the movie. Written and directed by Laura Adkin, Re: Uniting follows six best friends who reconnect for their 25-year college reunion and begin to re-evaluate their lives.
