American Idol season 22 finalist Kaibrienne has recorded a new original song, "Teach You How To Love Me," after her incredible run on the reality singing competition show. Kaibrienne, a 20-year-old from Henefer, Utah, who turned 21 three days after the finale on May 22, placed 8th in American Idol season 22. She earned a golden ticket to Hollywood from all three judges--Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan--with her audition song, "Something in the Orange" by Zach Bryan. For her Top 20 performance, Kaibrienne sang her original song, "girl i am now," which earned her a place in the Top 14.

Now Kaibrienne has recorded another emotional new song, "Teach You How To Love Me," which she shared a clip on Instagram. The caption of the post reads, "Pre-save 'Teach You How To Love Me' now !!"
The post's video features a black-and-white scene of Kaibrienne sitting fully clothed in the shower with water running on her, and the words, "I needed a new song to cry to in the shower..." The chorus says, "I don't want to have to teach you, teach you how to love me/I don't want to have to tell you I'm everything or nothing/I don't want to have to play all of these games to make you want me/I don't want to have to teach you, teach you how to love me."

Kaibrienne replied, "no cause every time I listen to it I picture a movie scene with a girl running to the train station crying while her ex chases after her dramatically begging for her back." The song really would be perfect for a scene like this because it's filled with Kaibrienne's signature emotional singing. The lyrics really tell the story of the relationship as well. Kaibrienne is such a talented songwriter that it wouldn't be surprising if her songs weren't only big chart toppers, but were also heard in movies and on television.
Throughout American Idol season 22, Kaibrienne was known for her very emotional performances. During her Hollywood Week Idol Arena performance of "How Could You?" by Jessie Murph, she broke down and cried on stage. Her raw emotion was beautiful to watch because she didn't hold anything back.
