Cyberpunk 2077 Player Discovers Thrilling Detail After 700 Hours Of Gameplay

Summary Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 is so vast that players may miss hidden side activities and secret side quests.

Players can ride the rollercoaster in Pacifica's Grand Imperial Mall after fixing it in the "Love Rollercoaster" side job.

CD Projekt Red's Night City is rich and detailed, encouraging players like Earlchaos to keep discovering new things after hours of gameplay.

Cyberpunk 2077's Night City has so much to see and do that it's virtually impossible to do absolutely everything in the first playthrough of the game, especially with different dialogue and moments being impacted by choices and actions that encourage repeat playthroughs to witness as much as possible. There's also the matter of hidden side activities and secret side quests across the city, which reward going off the beaten path and don't actually appear on the in-game map at all, meaning many players can miss them entirely.

This was the case for Redditor Earlchaos, who only discovered that Cyberpunk 2077's protagonist V can ride the rollercoaster in Pacifica after playing the game for 700 hours.

The sequence is a fun respite from the brutality of V's life in Night City, as they simply take some time out to ride the rollercoaster alongside an uncharacteristically cheerful Johnny Silverhand, with Cyberpunk 2077's first-person perspective taking players along for the ride.

How To Ride The Rollercoaster In Cyberpunk 2077

The "Love Rollercoaster" Mission Lets V Go On The Ride

V can go on the rollercoaster as part of the secret "Love Rollercoaster" side job, which is located by the beach behind the Grand Imperial Mall in Pacifica's subdistrict, Coastview. The job can be triggered by talking to Anel, a character who is sitting on the couch near the rollercoaster station, who asks for help in fixing the rollercoaster car.

If Anel is not available, players can still skip the conversation with him and continue the following tasks as normal to get the rollercoaster working.

To start this process, players need to scan the rollercoaster car and then scan the nearby area to find a control panel at the end of the platform. Once the panel has been repaired, players should be able to go on the ride, triggering the sequence Earlchaos was referring to. Once the rollercoaster has been fixed, players can revisit it too, with several others under Earlchaos' post showing screenshots and footage of the ride at night.

It's a testament to how rich and detailed CD Projekt Red's version of Night City is and just how many layers there are to it that players such as Earlchaos can keep discovering things that are completely new to them after so many hours of playing. As engaging as V's main storyline is, it's certainly worth just taking some time to explore Cyberpunk 2077's world and interact with its residents to get payoffs like the one "Love Rollercoaster" offers.
