Dune 3 Casting Update Gets Uncertain Response From Lady Jessica's Rebecca Ferguson
This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.
Summary Rebecca Ferguson doesn't know anything about Dune: Part Three's story.
Ferguson reveals that none of the Dune: Part Two cast have deals in place for the next film, and it will be expensive to get everyone back together again.
Actors like Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Florence Pugh have become much more in-demand.
Dune: Part Three gets a new update from Rebecca Ferguson. Based on the 1965 book by Frank Herbert, Denis Villeneuve's first adaptation was released in 2021, bringing the world of Arrakis to life on the big screen. His sequel, Dune: Part Two, was an even bigger success earlier this year with a story that continues Paul Atreides' quest against the Harkonnens. Dune: Part Three is now confirmed to be in the works, though the project is still in the script stage.
In a recent interview with TheWrap's "Unwrapped" podcast, Ferguson is asked about the progress that's been made on Dune: Part Three.
According to the actor, she's not been let in on any details regarding the project, but she does know that none of the cast of the second film have signed on for the third just yet. Check out Ferguson's full comment below:
“I don’t know anything. I know zero. I don’t even know if he has finished the script. I don’t even know if I’m in it. I mean I hope I’m in it. I’ve got chains and tattoos, I’m awesome. I didn’t even know [Anya Taylor-Joy] was in [Dune: Part Two] until I saw the film… “You have to also remember, nobody has signed onto the third film. That’s a big decision. That’s a lot of actors in one same movie [mimes rubbing bills together]. So I don’t know what they’re going to do, where they cut corners. There’s a lot to think about.”
More to come...
