Goku's Three Most Iconic Forms Take Center Stage in Epic New Fanart
Summary Goku's iconic transformations always redefine power levels in Dragon Ball, with his Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 4, and Ultra Instinct forms standing out and getting their own side-by-side fanart.
Fanartist Kakeru (@DBSKAKERU1) highlights what it would look like if these three iconic Gokus met face-to-face in impressive artwork that looks just as good as the official thing.
Kakeru's artwork fulfills fans' fantasies of seeing alternate Dragon Ball scenarios, showcasing unique transformations and interactions.
Dragon Ball’s main protagonist, Goku, is a character who constantly hits his ceiling only for him to break through it, with his various overpowered transformations helping him to become the strongest being in his universe and beyond. In new fanart, Goku’s three most iconic forms occupy the same space, showing what it could look like if Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and Ultra Instinct Goku ever met face-to-face.
A piece of artwork recently shared on X, Kakeru (@DBSKAKERU1) is a creative talent who consistently produces Dragon Ball images that rival official series art, with the various “What If?” angles Kakeru explores adding to the uniqueness of their work.
Giving fans a taste of what a Super Saiyan Blue Broly and Vegito transformation could look like, Kakeru has also sketched Dragon Ball GT’s Super Saiyan Trunks saving Pan, Ultra Instinct Goku, Ultra Ego Vegeta, and Beast Gohan joining forces, and even Vegeta becoming King of all Saiyans, with each new piece looking just as impressive as the last.

Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and Ultra Instinct Goku Join Forces In New Fanart

Transformations that act as flagship forms for their respective series — Goku’s first Super Saiyan level defined Dragon Ball Z’s perception of power as a whole, while Super Saiyan 4 was the ultimate form of Dragon Ball GT and the most accepted element of that non-canon series, and finally, Ultra Instinct Goku acting as the strongest form in Dragon Ball Super — with each new ascension redefining what it means to be a Z-Warrior, in the process. While fans will never see these transformations side-by-side, Kakeru fulfills a nerd dream that can only be seen in the fanart space and doesn’t disappoint.
Positioning the Gokus in a triangle formation, Kakeru draws Super Saiyan 4 Goku to the left, his back turned and a smirk etched across his face as he pounds his fist. Illustrated to the right, also with his back turned, Kakeru brings Ultra Instinct Goku into the mix, with his piercing stare and open arms signaling that he isn’t done with his current opponent just yet. Last but not least, Kakeru centers Dragon Ball’s original transformation, Goku’s Super Saiyan form, and shows Goku as he was when he first attained this power against a resilient Frieza.
Goku's Best Transformations Get A Fanart Makeover Dragon Ball Fans Will Love
Captioning the piece with “I will surpass myself,” Kakeru perfectly sums up what this image is all about — Goku wanting to become more powerful than everyone in the multiverse, himself included. And since Goku’s entire purpose in life is to become stronger and stronger, seeing three of Goku's most iconic Dragon Ball transformations together is not only a treat for fans to see but is the only place where this can happen — unless, of course, Trunks messes with the timeline again to create more alternate worlds where Goku can meet up with his overpowered self.
