How To Beat The Mech Abomination Boss In Wuthering Waves
One of the earlier bosses you may come across in Wuthering Waves is the Mech Abomination, a hulking machine whose devastating attacks make it difficult to beat. You need to understand the weaknesses and strengths of this foe to form the perfect plan to take it down. With the right strategy, you can easily defeat the Mech Abomination and claim several rewards for you and your team.
Stockpiling up many of the resources present in Wuthering Waves will help you prepare for the Mech Abomination boss fight before it starts. Try to increase the level of your strongest characters in your team with various materials to make them stronger. No matter what team you put together to face the boss, they should all be brought to a similar level so no one is too weak to fight.
Some common character Ascension resources you may want to collect are Iris, Lanternberries, Belle Poppies, Pecok Flowers, Violet Corals, which are only a few of the game's available progression items.

Where To Find The Mech Abomination Boss
Search For The Right Ruins On Your Map
You can find the Mech Abomination boss at its challenge location, which is within the Court of Savantae Ruins near the south section of your map. Those who travel near the Whining Aix's Mire area can discover the Ruins nearby as they explore the world of Wuthering Waves. Once you enter the Ruins, you should be able to see a large hole that you can jump into to reach the arena where your team will face the boss.
One of the easiest ways to reach this location is to use the Resonance Beacon to teleport to the Huanglong-Whining Aix's Mire fast travel point, especially the one that mentions the Ruins. Take the time to assemble your best team using Wuthering Waves' forgiving pity system to summon new characters for your squad. When you're ready, simply go through the hole in the lab mentioned earlier to start the battle against the Abomination.
How To Defeat The Mech Abomination
Dodge Attacks And Avoid Using Electro Damage
The Mech Abomination is a huge enemy with slow attacks that deal a ton of damage, but the lack of mobility of this boss contrasts its large amount of health. The giant machine is an Electro element boss, meaning it has resistance to that type of damage from any of your party's skills and abilities. Some potential party members could be less effective against this robotic opponent as a result of this trait of the Abomination.
Remember to bring at least one character with healing abilities to keep up with the Mech Abomination's damage dealt to your team. The bulky health of the boss can make this fight long and drawn out, so you need a way to recover from damage taken. Some recommended characters for your team are Encore, Jiyan, Baizhi, and Verina, whose variety of skills could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Similar to bosses like Harmonious Choir in Honkai: Star Rail, the team composition you create determines the unique strategies you'll be able to use in the boss fight against the Mech Abomination.
Attack Description How To Counter Three Strike Combo The main attack of the Mech Abomination where the boss swings their fists in melee strikes three times in a row. These attacks are slow, so dodge away from the boss and wait until they are finished to close in and retaliate. Lightning Pillars The Mech Abomination sparks with electricity before releasing pillars of vertical lightning in a radius around it. Find a space between two of the lightning pillars to avoid taking damage from either. Spinning Arms Remaining in place, the Mech Abomination spins its arms around it rapidly, damaging anyone too close to the boss. Move or dodge away from this attack's range, which tends to punish those who stay too close to the Abomination. Deadly Grab The Mech Abomination raises its left hand before attempting to grab a member of your party, dealing massive damage to whoever it manages to capture. Notice the start-up of this attack's animation, then dodge out of the way of the left hand when you see it raised for a grab.
As you can see in the above video by YouTube creator GosuNoob, there are pieces of debris scattered throughout the arena where you face the Mech Abomination. By using universal telekinesis abilities, you can throw pieces of rubble at the boss to stun it for a short time. Each chunk of scrap that hits the Mech Abomination also damages it, giving you a way to instantly hurt the boss without attacking or using important skills.
Rewards For Defeating The Mech Abomination
Claim The Echo And Spend Waveplates For More
Taking down the Mech Abomination will reward you with a rare Echo depending on your world's difficulty, but you can gain other items for defeating the boss. When you spend 60 Waveplates to earn other rewards, you obtain six other items for you and your party. The other rewards you have an opportunity to claim from the spent Waveplates are:
Union EXP
Energy Core
Resonance Potion
Group Abomination Tact Core
Sealed Tube
Intimacy
All of these additional rewards are possible drops from the boss that have higher chances of dropping when your world level is greater. For example, the rarest item or resource from this list may not appear at all if your world is set for a lower difficulty rating. In the same way you gain rare character ascension materials in Honkai: Star Rail, you need to overcome extra challenges to get better rewards for victory.
As long as you stay on the defensive during the boss fight, these rewards should be easy to farm from facing the hulking machine more than once. Managing to beat the Mech Abomination multiple times in Wuthering Waves can allow you to collect rewards from the battle again and again, giving you exactly what you need to make your team stronger for new challenges.
