5 Sam LaRusso vs Tory Nichols

Sam & Tory Can Fully Work Out Their Differences In Cobra Kai Season 6

Close

Tory and Sam's rivalry became vital for most of Cobra Kai ever since the pair were set at odds when the former started dating Robby in season 2. This came to a head with the big school fight during that season's finale, in which Tory's rage and violence caused Sam to be seriously injured. The battle had a significant psychological impact on Sam, who spent the next couple of seasons overcoming her fear of Tory before they faced off in the championship fight at the All-Valley Tournament at the end of Cobra Kai season 4.

Tory came out victorious in this season's match, but since it was later revealed that Terry Silver bribed the All-Valley referee, she has no way of knowing if she won the championship title for real. The star Cobra Kai student came a long way morally over seasons 4 and 5, and the last we saw her, she was eager to work with the Miyagi-Dos—including Sam—to make things right. Now, Tory and Sam are on much better terms, but that doesn't mean they are any less eager to beat the other in a fair fate. It looks like they will have their chance to do just that in the upcoming season.

One of the first clips seen in the Cobra Kai season 6 trailer shows Tory and Sam practicing karate side by side. Tory is wearing a Miyagi-Do gi, indicating that she has joined Daniel LaRusso's dojo rather than Johnny's Eagle Fang. While this means she is officially on the same team as Tory, the following scene that shows them facing each other and gearing to fight proves there will still be some exciting fights between the duo in Cobra Kai season 6. As for who will win, it's difficult to say.

4 Johnny Lawrence vs Chozen Toguchi

Chozen vs Johnny Is The Legacy Match We Didn't Know We Needed

Part of what makes Cobra Kai work so well is the way it flips the bill and takes the perspective of Karate Kid's villains. The central protagonist, Johnny, was the main villain of the first Karate Kid movie, and he has made great strides at improving himself throughout the spinoff series. The same is true for Chozen, who was the central villain of The Karate Kid Part 2. He was brought into Cobra Kai during season 3 and has since become one of the more lovable characters of the series.

Of course, Johnny and Chozen being good doesn't make them any less powerful fighters. The pair proved in Cobra Kai season 5 that they were forces to be reckoned with when they broke into Terry Silver's home and held their own against a group of skilled karate sensei. Chozen's fight with Silver was especially riveting, since he utilized a pair of sai against the villain's katana. It was one of the most incredible displays of skill in Cobra Kai, which makes the possibility of a fight between Johnny and Chozen all the more intriguing.

This pair has never been particularly competitive with one another, but as two excellent fighters, this is the match we never knew we needed.

The Corba Kai season 6 trailer sees Johnny and Chozen bowing to one another for a tournament-style match, but the scene cuts off before we see any actual combat. This pair has never been particularly competitive with one another, but as two excellent fighters, this is the match we never knew we needed. Additionally, there's something highly nostalgic about these two The Karate Kid villains, who never knew each other back in the 1980s, facing off to determine which is the stronger fighter.

3 Johnny Larence vs Daniel LaRusso

The One Karate Kid Rematch To Rule Them All

Johnny and Daniel have had quite a journey together in The Karate Kid franchise. Their rivalry started in 1984 when the New Jersey kid moved in on Johnny's girlfriends, and the rest is history. Their conflict came to its apex in The Karate Kid when they faced off at the All-Valley Tournament, and though it was a close match, Daniel walked away with the championship title. Johnny even gave Daniel his seal of approval, choosing to award the boy with the trophy himself while delivering the line "You're alright, LaRusso."

Of course, this wasn't the end. It's later revealed in The Karate Kid Part 2 that Johnny's second-place win caused a dangerous riff between him and John Kreese. Cobra Kai eventually explained that this conflict led Johnny down a dark path, and all those years later, he had a lot of resentment against Daniel LaRusso—who became a wealthy dealership owner. When Daniel set himself against Johnny's newly reopened Cobra Kai, it was salt in the wound, and the pair have gone fist-to-fist several times since then, though each battle has ended in a draw.

Hopefully, Cobra Kai season 6 is when this will change. The trailer featured a clip of the young duo's All-Valley match in 1984, followed by a flash-forward 40 years to the pair bowing to one another preparing to fight. These scenes are accompanied by the text "The end of a legacy deserves a grand finale," which hints that Johnny and Daniel will battle it out one last time. Since all their fights in Cobra Kai have been interrupted before anyone won (or they simultaneously KOed each other), season 6 will determine who the better fighter is.

Johnny and Daniel faced off for a tournament-style match in Cobra Kai season 4, but they both knocked each other out at precisely the same time, resulting in a draw.

2 Anthony LaRusso vs Kenny Payne

Anthony & Kenny Are The Last Real Rivalry Left In Cobra Kai

Close

As exciting as many of these teased Cobra Kai season 6 fights are, they're dampened down slightly because most of the rivalries of past installments have been worked out. Tory and Sam aren't nearly as vicious toward each other as they once were, and they will even be allies in the upcoming season. Johnny and Daniel, though competitive, no longer have it out for one another, so a big fight won't be nearly as aggressive. Going into Cobra Kai season 6, the only true rivalry left is between Anthony LaRusso and Kenny Payne.

The tension between this duo began in Cobra Kai season 2 when Kenny was a sweet new student whom Anthony and his gang viciously bullied. This inspired the boy to seek help, and, unfortunately, he found it at Cobra Kai. Before too long, John Kreese had turned Kenny into a monster, and after some harsh lessons, Anthony became remorseful for his past actions. Despite efforts to make amends, the pair have continued to be at odds. Cobra Kai season 5 saw Kenny realize that Terry Silver wasn't who he thought he was, but that doesn't mean his anger has subsided.

Anthony and Kenny are seen fighting in some batting cages, and Daniel's son pulls off an impressive move in which he punches one of the baseballs in mid-air, launching it toward Kenny.

Anthony and Kenny's fight in Cobra Kai season 6 is guaranteed since several clips in the trailer show the duo in actual combat. This looks like it will be a pretty exciting match. Rather than a fair, tournament-style battle, Anthony and Kenny are seen fighting in some batting cages, and Daniel's son pulls off an impressive move in which he punches one of the baseballs in mid-air, launching it toward Kenny. It's precisely the flavor of Cobra Kai and certainly looks like a battle to look forward to.

1 Miyagi-Fang vs Cobra Kai

The Cobra Kai Season 6 Trailer Features Another Big Group Fight

Close

A unique feature of Cobra Kai compared to the original Karate Kid movies is the prevalence of massive group fights, and this has become one of the things to look forward to from season to season. The first that stood out was the school fight in Cobra Kai season 2, which saw Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai go all out in a violent display in the high school halls. From there, there have been similar battles at Miyagi-Do, the LaRusso home, arcades, and more.

Of course, this dojo rivalries has changed significantly over the years. Johnny's original Cobra Kai students are now Eagle Fang, with some having even switched to Miyagi-Do. The two dojos have become allies pitted against Terry Silver's Cobra Kai. With this villain in prison as of the end of season 5, it's unclear how ownership of the dojo will shake out, but John Kreese's line in the Cobra Kai season 6 trailer, "Cobra Kai is back," indicates that he will step back in as head sensei.

With Kreese back in control, the animosity between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Fang dojos will continue, and other big group fights are teased. The Cobra Kai trailer included a few clips showing Miguel, Demetri, Hawk, and, most surprisingly, Kyler fighting together at what appears to be an arcade, battling it out with an unknown group of teens. Given Kreese's return, it's likely that these are Cobra Kai's newest students, and more group fights indicate plenty more excitement to expect in Cobra Kai's finale season.
