DC Aims to Use the Green Arrow Family’s Unsung Members Like Never Before

Amanda Waller's scheme keeps Green Arrow's allies separated, but they may soon come together to take her down.

Green Arrow will need all the help he can get from his family to defeat Waller, who is manipulating him into working for her.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Green Arrow #10!The extended members of Green Arrow's family are put to good use and finally show off what they're capable of in a fight scene fans need to see. Team Arrow might be scattered all over the DC Universe, but several of Oliver Queen's allies, plus some new faces are going to change things considerably for the Emerald Archer.

In Green Arrow #10 by Joshua Williamson, Sean Izaakse, and Tom Derenick, Green Arrow is heading to an old Justice League base to recover the Sanctuary files requested by Amanda Waller. Oliver and his son Connor make it to the base, only for the two to be attacked by Red Arrow, Arrowette, Red Canary, and Speedy.

Green Arrow and Connor fight back against the team, but Speedy manages to take the archers down with an electrified arrow. Speedy apologizes to Oliver and Connor, saying Arsenal asked her, Arrowette, Red Canary, and Red Arrow to stop anyone from entering the base.

Green Arrow's Forgotten Allies Are Strong Enough to Take Him Down

While they haven't been all together in some time, Green Arrow has one of the biggest superhero families around. Unfortunately, Amanda Waller has been doing her best to keep them separated from one another as part of a larger scheme to manipulate Oliver into working for her. After an encounter with Merlyn, Green Arrow turned his sights on Waller to make her pay for keeping his family apart. However, she managed to convince Oliver to work for her, telling him that a war was coming and that if he allied with her, Green Arrow would be united with his family.

The heroes Green Arrow encounters have either been out of the game like Arrowette or Speedy or are still fairly green like Red Canary or Red Arrow. But by working together, the four of them were able to take down Oliver and Connor. Of course, Green Arrow says they got lucky, but he could just be saving face. Not to mention Arsenal wouldn't have put them up to guarding the base if he didn't think the team was capable of it. With the future in question, Team Arrow's underdog members just may get their chance to shine soon.

Green Arrow is Going to Need His Extended Family Now More Than Ever

Green Arrow has made it clear that he's trying to con Waller. Right now he's just trying to make sure his family is reunited. And once they are, they'll be able to make their move against Waller. For all his talent, Green Arrow is just one person and he's going to need all the help he can get to defeat Waller. If Red Canary, Red Arrow, Arrowette, and Speedy could take Oliver down, there's no doubt they'll come in handy defeating Waller. Hopefully, Green Arrow's next reunion with his extended family will see them all breaking free from Waller's control.
