For players familiar with the genre, this means that parrying and dodge rolling are essential mechanics to master. Few builds are as evasive as the dual-wield dagger dexterity build.
No Rest for the Wicked first equips the Cerim with the classic sword and shield combination to progress past the tutorial and early phases of Sacra. Once Warrick the Torn has been slain outside the Sacrament city gates, players have far more freedom to experiment. Fast bosses and enemies appear fairly frequently, and being able to maneuver around a boss is almost always a better idea than simply soaking damage.

Dual wield daggers stand as a distinctive type of weapon category in No Rest for the Wicked, apart from the usual one-handed swords. The best dual-wielding daggers in the game currently are the Brothers Keepers. Although the Brothers Keepers deal comparatively low damage, it more than makes up for this facet in attack speed and armor piercing.
Alongside the four available gem slots, this weapon has an incredibly high ceiling. This weapon is dropped by the large, axe-wielding raiders in the Nameless Pass north of Sacrament. The weapon, along with other daggers, are also occasionally sold by Fillmore the Blacksmith.
Dexterity-based builds usually need to sacrifice armor and HP to keep their weight class light and dexterity stat high. This means that hits will chunk down your health bar more than a faith or strength-based build. In terms of secondary stats, putting points into Health can make your character significantly more tanky, while Carry Capacity could work to help keep your weight class light. Since you only get three skill points per level, it's best to prioritize dexterity and stamina.
Dexterity gives access to dexterity-based weapons, including most double daggers, but it also helps your general maneuverability. With higher dexterity builds, your rolls come out smoother and faster, which can allow you a larger window to avoid incoming attacks. For many bosses, including the likes of Warrick the Torn, rolling around to their weak side is the best way to whittle down large health bars.
Every action, from attacks to dodges, takes away from your stamina bar. Given that this high dex build relies heavily on your stamina meter, it is just as important to invest points in stamina.

Although a low carry capacity is preferable, it is difficult to have all possible gear slots filled out without at least tipping over into normal territory. Above all else, you want to avoid reaching into the heavy-weight class.
Your carry capacity will impact how fast your character moves and how smoothly dodges come out. Given that you want to be as elusive as possible on the battlefield, it’s best to keep this meter as low as possible.
You can reduce your weight class overall by investing stat points in the Carrying Capacity section. Once you have put at least 10 points into both Stamina and Dexterity, you can have far more freedom to invest points into your Carry Capacity. Heavier characters, such as two-handed strength or faith sword and shield builds, do not have to worry as much about their mobility, but they are at the crux of the double dagger dual-wield build.
Weight class ultimately stands as one of the most important facets of your build, as even if you max out your Brothers Keepers and dexterity stat, you won't be able to effectively utilize your tools with a heavy status.
Note that your carrying capacity stat only refers to the weight of the gear you are actively holding or wearing. Raw materials, additional equipment, and miscellaneous items don’t count towards your overall weight class.
Dual Wield Double Daggers: Best Runes and Gems
Gems and Runes are incredible ways to increase your baseline damage or to enhance your favorite weapons even further. Rare gear includes gem slots, maxing out at four, and gives elemental damage to your weapons as well. For the Brothers Keepers, fire gems are the best way to go.
Whenever applied, fire damage provides a consistent source of damage-over-time that persistently hurts the afflicted target. Since double daggers cannot carve off massive portions of a boss’s health bar, additional damage is always welcome.
You cannot mix gem elements. If you decide to place Fire gems in your dual daggers, then you cannot place an electricity gem.
Runes are both found in the wide world of Sacra, but also conveniently sold by Eleanor the Enchantress in Sacrament. Enchantments give more general benefits than the elemental advantages of gems, but should not be underrated. The two best to pick up are the Gem of Healing Aura and Repair.
Instead of losing experience points like many other soulslike games, your gear slowly deteriorates and will eventually require repairs. Instead of backtracking to Fillmore, repairing your gear yourself gives you far more freedom. Healing Runes are beneficial as your character is far more open to damage than most builds in No Rest for the Wicked.
