The fight scenes are epic as can be, the characters are interesting and messed up, the art displayed was Fujimoto's best and the plot is gripping from beginning to end. Furthermore, the creator's love for movies is inserted using the character Togata, whose whole gist is to restore the world to when Star Wars and movies existed.
The creators of Dandadan, Spy X Family and Hell's Paradise were assistants of Fujimoto for Fire Punch.
Set on Earth that has been destroyed by a never-ending winter, the two siblings, Agni and Luna, are Blessed and have regenerative abilities, and they use them to cut off their limbs to feed the famine-struck villagers. Doma, a Blessed with fire abilities encounters the village and is disgusted by the cannibalism, and he burns the entire village and its residents to the ground.
Luna's regeneration couldn't keep up with the flames, and she died. Unfortunately for Agni, Doma's fire can never be extinguished, and his immortality allows him to live despite being constantly on fire. With a protagonist locked in a constant cycle of pain and unbelievable hatred for his sister's killer, Fire Punch is a revenge story of a man in a truly despicable world.
