Stellar Blade: How To Beat Karakuri (Boss Guide)
Karakuri is a mini-boss you have to beat in Stellar Blade during the "Eye of the Hurricane" mission as you continue traveling toward the orbital elevator. Although this isn't the toughest enemy you'll encounter, the variety of attacks and gimmicks Karakuri can do makes them tricky to defeat. Relying on normal combat strategies will only get you so far as you try to progress forward during this story chapter.
You encounter Karakuri as you enter the Vermillion Garden after a brief cutscene reveals the robotic, spider-like body of this fearsome foe. Before you reach this point, try to explore the world and increase other attributes of EVE to prepare yourself for the fight. Gather consumable items, complete side quests, or try to increase your max health in Stellar Blade to make EVE stronger for the battle ahead.

How To Defeat Karakuri In Stellar Blade
Follow Patterns And Destroy Minions
The best strategy for defeating Karakuri is to parry its close-range attacks, dodge through the laser, and quickly destroy the robot minions the boss summons throughout the fight. One of the deadliest attacks Karakuri has is a red laser that sweeps across a wide area horizontally or vertically in front of it. Blink, Repulse, and Perfect Dodge are great maneuvers in Stellar Blade to avoid taking damage from this move.
Most of the time, Karakuri will use physical swipes of their mechanical claws to attack you in sequences of three or four strikes. Depending on the color emitted by these attacks, try to perform a dodge or Perfect Parry in Stellar Blade to stay defensive against the boss' aggression. Successfully getting around these attacks will give you a small window to retaliate and unleash your strongest moves against Karakuri.
Try to destroy Karakuri's shields quickly with Grenades and other items to increase your damage against the boss throughout the rest of the fight. This strategy will help against any boss, from the base game to even New Game Plus in Stellar Blade.
The unique aspect of this boss that separates it from other enemies is its ability to summon a collection of small minions around it. These weaker foes may have less health, but they can easily overwhelm you if you leave them alone. The boss can easily defeat you when the multiple attacks from a crowd of enemies eventually stagger EVE and leave you vulnerable to more damage in Stellar Blade.
Getting distracted too much by the minion robots could allow Karakuri to hit you with its large laser if you aren't paying attention. Try to get some distance between the boss and allow the smaller enemies to chase you around the arena to isolate them. This makes it easy to take out the weak opponents and return to fighting Karakuri, who you should be able to beat in Stellar Blade without too much effort.
